New (old) bike for my wife to ride to work. DDR cycle truck (Mifa Universal). Getting a bit of a modern upgrade with bigger rack and a frame bag to dump stuff.

I've very nearly finished building my road bike so what better time than to start a whole new project? Plan for now is to keep costs as low as possible by cannibalising another bike, throwing the parts bin at it and pinching the rest of the pats I need from work. If I like it I'll spend a bit of money in a few months to upgrade to carbon forks and a hydraulic disc. General vibe is a practical but fun, fat tyred, mudguarded fixed gear.

What raceface cranks are these?
Wanted to get something to replace my square taper cranks down the line but couldn't find anything from them that worked with road 1x chainline.. could just be being an idiot. -

Aefect, bike has a 142 rear end, and the ring has a slight inboard offset.

Currently looking for headset ball bearings for the Campagnolo headset lower bearing (about 5mm diameter).
Then I can refit the forks, put some wheels on & try to remove the bottom bracket cups!
I have an old Shimano 105 1055 triple groupset I am planning on using for it.
All beater grade.

I think they're 7/32", e.g. https://simplybearings.co.uk/shop/p37914/7/32-inch-Diameter-Grade-10-Hardened-52100-Chrome-Steel-Ball-Bearings/product_info.html

I have a set of Facom vernier gauges which are not the most precise.
The to upper bearings were about 4mm while the lower bearing were about 5mm.
So from what I measured I think they are 3/16" / 0.187 = 4.76mm

Record EC34 AHead? Apparently 5/32" upper and 3/16" lower. You can still get the genuine caged sets for about £15, but there's nothing wrong with using loose balls if you can be bothered with the fiddly assembly.

@gbj_tester Got a selection off eBay - not the highest quality but at least I'll have spares!

Comfy though. Plus it was a gift and I'd never spend that kinda money on a bum holder for myself so I'm sure as hell gonna use it
