No, just fed up with the nonsense on this forum.
In the recent couple of years, there have been a severe increase in thieves simply cutting the cable and hydraulic to take the handlebar off entirely, as this is the easiest and quickest way of making money.

I went in the Bike Station (in Edinburgh) at the end of the Saturday group ride. Very bad idea, but it was only £20.
Isn't this stem the coolest thing you've ever seen!
Will definitely go with drop bars, otherwise it'll be too small - more reach, just as high as flats, want one of these anyway:

Well, no, but people probably won't think any less of you since they will already have seen the frame 🙂 Just don't use it to pull cantilevers unless you love brake chatter.

The groovy paint will distract me from the cable wobbling like mad when I try to stop :D

Not as cool as this stem ;)
Actually worked, which was quite surprising

Placed an order for my Carbonda (a la @amey) a couple of weeks ago and got some pretty snazzy pics of the paint job.
I'm rather looking forward to this build. Just got to wait for delivery of the wheels now...

nice - what parts are adorning it?

Carrying over some mechanical Ultegra from my old roadie, but upgrading brakes to Shimano hydro R685 shifters + RS805 callipers. Never done hydraulic brakes before, so am slowly but surely devouring all of the youtube tutorials I can find.
Crabon disc wheelset, hotchpotch of finishing kit.
I've got some skinny road tyres at home, but may as well pull out some well used 38mm g-ones that have been sitting in the parts bit for too long.
Most importantly, are I'm going to have a go at designing some retina-burning decals for it.

Best thing after a 17h night shift? A quick 11k trail ride through the forest on the way back home.

Converting an FSA Tempo 46/30 chainset to 1x with a Hope Retainer ring. What bolt length do I need?

What bolt length do I need?
The Tempo Adventure is already effectively a triple with the outer ring missing, so the stock bolts should work with the Hope ring. You will be mounting it upside down, so the pretty/garish decoration will only be visible from the non-drive side.

6700 crank looks lumpen next to those skinny steel tubes, especially in grey. I think a silver 6600 would look better if you want to stick with Ultegra

But that downtube is massive! You know, for 90s steel...
The groupset I already had, apart from the Nitto bits I have not really spent any money on this. Aesthetics, as a result, may have been compromised.
I got them direct, but I’m over in the non shitty Boston so that’s easy for me.
