Picked this up for Christmas as a new year commuter to try get me back into riding.
It hasn't been looked after very well so a respray is in need at some point soon. Its from 1996 and came with a Hope Ti bb so going to match that with mainly titanium parts, 1x gearing, flat bars with a thumbie shifter. Similar to this Serotta -

Plan is for the cherubim to replace my pacer as my long ride/road bike and turn that bike into a RGR commuter. I’ll have some pics soon as I finished building it early.

Put the fatties in the genesis, rizla clearance on the rear with 42c on wide rims. I may one day next year have it modified a bit, the seat stay bridge changed for a curved one with mudguard mount and the chainstays dimpled slightly more for a couple mm of mud and dirt clearance. Would like also change the cable routing to the down tube for the gears and if possible, internal for the brake at least down the top tube.
(May also do these jobs myself as I’m gathering tools currently to be able to do frame modifications etc)

If that's not 650b, then that would give slightly more clearance giving the chainstay and seatstay shape.

Yeah true, they’re 700c. I’d rather not buy another wheelset though

I've begun the resurrection my old Caad 10 this winter break, I was hit by a car whilst riding it back in October 2017. Amazingly despite the fork dropout on the fork being broken, the headset crown race, non drive side crank arm and both the wheels the frame itself actually came out straight and intact. Although getting it back after the crash assessment by the LBS made me realise that the original paint is bubbling in places and the whole thing is a bit tired so it's time for a repaint. Just scored a replacement fork on ebay for £40 so the old fork has became a canvas, this is the plan for the whole frame:

Ready for a winter test ride to my local shrine for New Years! I’m thinking about doing one of those dedicated “these are my bikes” threads since I’ve got enough of them and they change often enough.

Whats the smallest 110bcd chain ring you can get? I would love a 32t or 31t if possible, but I cant seem to find one.

Very old eyeglass kit, the kind an optometrist would have in the mid 1900’s I think.

Tried the last gen world cup Spark. Couldn't believe how good it was.
