Hmm yeah does look tres max-y head on :)

Measure the tube’s largest dimension by the fork crown and compare it with your other Max fork. If it’s shorter than Max than it’s Air.

Good idea Thanks : )

Correct. Serotta made his own BB cast, for the proprietary tubing he did with Columbus, in ‘91-‘92. Mine is from 1990.

157 if you're buying the beers for everyone

Would be ideal if you have a cycle truck too actually.

I like the 198. It's less wide then the 137 but much taller. Fits perfectly inbetween 40cm c-c dropbars with brake levers.
Also have a 137 for a flared dropbar biek. -

I have a 198 too. I love it.

Depends on your own needs no?
Measure up your messenger bag/tote/whatever you'll be putting in there and buy the basket that will contain that plus some wiggle room. Over-filling front baskets rarely ends well, so probably no more than 10kg in there, and make sure your low trail fork is strong enough. -

Chat prompted a search for a Wald/general baskets thread, but I couldn't find one...
Anyone had their Wald rattle loose with the stock fasteners?
Had mine (1392) almost a month and love it (and Restrap's Wald bag is excellent), but on the second day the top of the drive side leg came loose with <5kg aboard. Tightened (nearly rounding nuts sorta tight) but same happened again the next day, half way into a short 6km commute.
Not had a problem since replacing the plain nuts with nyloc ones, and adding some large washers to either side of those fastenings.
Also, (top tip!) replace the nuts of the fasteners that set the length of the legs with square nuts, then you don't need to use a socket or spanner to tighten. -

I almost never use the stock nuts and bolts that come with fenders/racks/whatever, they’re always cheese.

Much the same as the TT pix you've been posting in porn, but with chopped and flopped bars
