How you find the tune saddle?

First ride yesterday – a three hour spin. Really like the shape, but I could feel the transition from rear pad to bare carbon. No pain or anything, but it might bother me... Not sure yet, I need more rides on it.

@Gaston They measure 37, so not crazy big. Don’t do much racing anymore, so nice with some extra cushioning on the groad. Might go down to 35 when they’re worn out.

Has anybody got any experience of NOS tyres like these?

They would look dope but are they likely to be mega fragile? Does rubber degrade in a box over the years.

I could get a 20mm GP 4000 Conti for the rear or try and squeeze a 23mm Veloflex Master in but it's an expensive experiment if it doesn't fit.

Rubber harden over time, so you might actually get better puncture protection. You might lose grip though (see Paul Walker's fatal crash).
Discovery used to ride on 5-year-old tubs though, and that guy Lance did OK.

I emailed Marty after this exchange and can confirm Geekhouse has closed for business. He said he is working on a new project, but didn't disclose what it was. I feel a little bereft now, but also pleased that I bought two frames while I could!

Guess it’d depend on how they were stored more than anything else?

I think it all depends on stem length vs bar width, I have seen DA7400 stems and Nitto M106 nas somewhere else. But need to figure out some options on bar reach and stem lenght vs ideal bike fit.

650b'd wifeys 26" inbred. Happy enough with clearance on 2" S-Works, though the gears need a tweak cos I've had to set the wheel quite far back in the track ends.

60mm stem on the way to bring the cockpit back into proportion a bit.

did you find it hard to pass the handlebar (the curved part) inside the dura-ace stem?
I managed to fit one compact 26.0 handlebar but only on a 100mm dura-ace stem, not with a 110mm stem. Ok, it was not a soma

Will be missed from frame building for sure.
