It's a classic TT bike, hills don't feature (at least not up)

Any hill or bridge would destroy my legs on that biek
He has left all the sprockets on there to make it suitable for SPOCO, on a dragstrip you'd ditch the big ones to save weight since you're not going to use them.

Oh you sold it on too? Feels like everyone on PF is owning it eventually

Picked this up and really liking it, although it is a touch small. The 600 STIs are surprisingly nice to use and the suspension does a decent job of smoothing out rough roads. Needs some bigger tyres though, I reckon some 28s would fit ok, perhaps Panaracer Gravelkings as I think the brown sidewall look would work, but open to ideas. Got a Flite on the way and it should be good to go.

V4 send it to Montreal where I used it, after what I sold it to a local bike enthusiast.
I'm still in touch with him, but he don't want to sell it back to me.. -

Rad. Just saw a frame like it for sale, didn't know they existed before. Rotate bars up a bit?

Sold?

• #117887
The blue one I sold as I never really rode it, the red/black one is almost up and running.

Yeh, they're pretty rare especially now. The bars are odd, more like tack drops than road and if I rotate them much further the drops won't be much use. Might swap them out if I see something I like.

I have a set of handlebars lying around that I won’t use except on my single speed (sold MTB). Anyone see any issue with cutting them down to about 50/55cm? Quite a lot of material to take off, but is my preferred worth. Can you take too much material off? Will grips still fit on?
Handlebars for reference:

Don't see why not. Unless you cut them down so far that the grips are longer than the thin bits either side of the clamp.

Great, thanks for the advice.

My repainted Giant TCX with Focus fork is now built, I'm calling this the 'Open W.U.T.'
Wheel set one is 700c Shimano MT-66 on DT Swiss 350 and Wheelset two is 650b WTB i25 on Novatec.
Suffice to say i'm chuffed.
