  • Making a fixed beater (this will be for @togas to use while he’s in London if he needs it). Thought I had everything but am currently lacking a 26.2 seatpost (wrongly remembered it being 26.8)

Has anyone got one they’d like to shift?

    Edit-actually.. I reckon it’s 26.2

  • That design was a very common one in the early days of kiddie trailers here in Canada as well.

  • Yeah sim works, they nicely don't put the stickers on, they come loose in the box. The green top cap comes separately and it comes by default with a red one. They also do matchy matchy green nitto bar end plugs.

  • Been drooling on those for a while now.. Very pricy though.

  • Swapping tyres counts as a project I’m sure. C.X bike was great today, I fancy a proper road bike as I only have this and my X.C bike. I am comfortable on the boardman so should I just replicate the stack and reach when looking at road bikes or will the boardman being a cross bike make that a bad idea?. I have no real idea with bike fit.

  • Looking at the photos of your Boardman, the position is pretty much close to a road bike, so yeah trying replicate the stack and reach is a good idea to get a bicycle with a similar fit to your Boardman.

Maybe changing tyres to something like GP4000sII would be more apt than the heavier slipperier Gatorskins.

  • Thanks edscoble, gp4000 would be my usual choice but got these for less than half price.

  • Alternately I would look into Panaracer Gravelking in 32mm to take advantage of the CX bike.

  • I will, thanks for the suggestions.

  • I've put a new cockpit on my winterbike today. Longer stem and a deda piega make a slightly more comfortable position.

  • Cool bike. Give us a side pic please!

  • Toying with getting one of these on cycle to work voucher.

Can get it fitted with 650b dynamo wheelset for £99 extra. Will fit mudguards and rack and use it as a fat tire commuter. For under £1000 - decent deal?

  • Thats a pricey hybrid

  • Looks like an Arkose but not as nice

  • i actually wanted an arkrose (or even a lithium) but my c2w scheme doesn't do Evans :(

  • if you have alternative suggestions i'm all ears!

  • Just buy one second hand? You don't have to buy new with the voucher. It will still be even cheaper. I just bought one with 105 11 speed for 350 quid. Ended up selling the 105 and swapping to rival22 for no extra cost. Could have one with a dynamo for 500 quid pretty easily.

  • I was going to say Pinnacle .. but maybe Verenti?

  • u wot m8, its an ultegra carbon bike for 900 quid. sell them, gives you over a hundred quid to fit Juintech R1
