I think it's one of the best words ever... Can't believe Jol didn't go for it as his polo team's moniker, that woulda shown *real class *IMHO... I do wanna start a band called that just to make one horrible 7"... Joey Fucktard on guitar... Brilliant! BTW I love The Reatards, they *can't *be outdone...

  • nearly done, tyres were a total fucker to get on!just got to trim down the bars and get grips as jos was out of the cork ones i wanted.

Are those real Track Shamals? or is the rear hub something else?

    No Sympathy

  • Aww Ray, you know I love you guys really. I'm still trying to work out if I can strip, paint and rebuild by our games on Saturday.

  • Did mine in less than 24hours. For those pussies who cant take apart shit all.... get your own tools, know your own bike! FTW

  • i did mine in 6, and 5 hrs 20 mins was waiting to collect the frame :)

  • ha you cog

  • The problem is the painting, I've got more than just the frame to do and need time to strip clean etc. I suppose I could do most of that tonight and then rebuild on Friday night (yes it would've been easier to go to armourtex but I wanted to rattle can as it'll look more beat up more quickly.

  • give yourself plenty time for the paint to dry though.

  • at night in these temps...fail

  • Yeah, a coat tonight, one tomorrow after westies. Rebuild on Friday. Scratch to shit on Saturday - Job done...

What spokes are you using with that?
Sadly track-shamals are totally expensive :( They didn't make enough of those wheels then..

  • just regular, they arent bladed as keith was saying they were built specific for the hubs, by all accounts this wheel was a total ballache to rebuild, feels great though just had an hour out on it feels great to e riding again

  • Fair play Stephen, ace looking bit of kit. I have Shamal envy :-)

  • Moved the brake on the Carlton, need some new tape now.. i'll try the bay.

This is really just an excuse to take photos...

any other advice appreciated, i'm not sure about where to have that brake.. i'm on the drops at speed but find I often need the emergency stop at low speed.

strip and clean are two words that dont go with ghetto, just spray it

  • i just built this up this evening for a spin, but i am running two 700cs with it so will be looking for new front wheel and forks...it's fucking gorgeous and the frame, forks and bb set me back £45 :o (thanks El_Diablo)

  • Looks a bit shit compared to the others on here, but here's my (almost) finished conversion (need bartape/new pedals):

  • That carlton is fit. Bike for life, that.
