Definitely special in a good way. I have similar plans of upgrading the 6800 on my Leader AX at some point to DA9000.

After about a week or so riding it with the spare drilled forks & moustache bars so that it would be road legal, I realize I don't enjoy it that much. I really want to put the track forks back and the drops. It's not about riding position, more that the bike doesn't look what it should and that bothers me. I really want to find a clamp on brake, if anyone got one second hand...

Moustache bars don't look good on any bike.
Go north road/three speed every time.

They're actually moustache-like bars kinda only, and real old steel stuff, with a too narrow clamp area that makes them flex laterally a bit as the stem can't hold them well enough. Not great. I want the drops back, and mostly the matching forks, the spare ones are nice but nowhere as nice.

Might be the angle but that rear tyre doesn't look bedded properly on the Pomp.

You probably wrote it somewhere allready but what course are doing and where?

it's a 3 years bike mechanic course in Ghent. Here in Belgium bike mechanic is a "protected profession" so a degree is mandatory in case you want to do something with bikes on a professional basis.

How is the course structured? Is a full time thing? Also, rad bike

It's evening classes, 1 evening/week, 3,5 hrs/evening. Daytime course takes 1 year but I have a job to do. :-)

First year it's all about replacing broken parts (pretty basic, thank god I could skip that one :)), second year is more in depth on mounting and fine tuning parts, building wheels,... and the last year it's mainly business oriented (but still with a significant portion of practice).

Maybe it wasn't properly bedded when I took the pic. Maybe it's the angle. Now it's all fine and it's a comfy commuter.
Thanks it's home made with cheap spray cans. Doesn't look too bad from afar but it's far from good. Not enough paint
