Not trying to kill anyone. As it's a single speed it works fine with only a back brake. And not too many scary hills in London.
bollocks.
it absolutely does not.
put a front brake on, just for safety, you'd be an absolute fucking idiot not too, you don't want her hurt do you? -

Yesterday I build my first tallbike-frame EVER! :) w0h00!
Turned out pretty much the way I wanted it... except I got to be a bit too tall... I can't get on it without standing on something..
Other problems is that the seat is right above the rear wheel, so it really wants to do wheelies, and it has no brakes yet.. wheels a 29'er singlespeed's..
First testride was a bit exciting because of the missing brakes :) edit: and because the bottom bike is a size 60.. ;)
Photos will follow this weekend when I get brakes mounted, and I think I'll put a drop-bar on it as well, should put my weight a bit more forward so that it'l not wheelie that easy....
Finally I have to figure out why I wanted a tallbike.... ;)

Get a front brake. Or I'll confiscate that bike.

You should put a rear coaster on, and a nice front, then it would look the nuts

What does this have to do with the number of gears ?
I thought only in The Netherlands bikes with just one brake were legally allowed.
I'm almost sure your bike MUST have 2 brakes.
Of course, we all like to break the rules..

Seems i have a new project on the go.
I've managed to get my Pace rc200 f8 team issue MTB back off the guy i sold it to nearly 7yrs ago :)It's hardly been used since he got it, only for commuting...it still has the original wheels, hope TI hubs, hope mini discs with the c2 levers...middleburn chainset, chris king rasta headset, red flite saddle...that was one of the bikes i regretted selling the most when i first moved to scotland and needed the money.
I'd wanted a Pace since i saw the very first rc100, so to get it back is so good.
Be nice to get some dirt on the tyres again.
Just needs some tlc and a stem change.
Damn bargain too. :) -

+1
That would also solve the cable routing, which does, for some reason, look a little bonkers.

Cheers, they may well need them...they didn't feel as bad as i expected for being over 10yrs old and never being bled :)
I'm hoping i'll just need to bleed them. -

Okay so the wheels make it look like one of those DH bikes but I won the wheels (halo aeroage on black halo hubs) and can't afford the respray at the mo so I'm gonna rock them for a while, I quite like em ;)
well done ben, you did bloody well! shame i missed it this time!

Thanks for the info. Might move the levers so that we have better access for the service car then.

Wait until the rims get wet, she will be wishing you put that front brake on.

If you do fix your suspension forks I may be interested in those rigid ones, if they're the older, shorter version.
