  • My lo pro is getting there.. Mack hubs on their way, then need kmc Ti chain and a front rim. The frames been sent back to coventry to have the bridge put right. In the meantime I filed down the fork nice an smooth.

    who is the frame builder??

  • I think its Lee Cooper as that looks like the inside of 14Bikeco

  • oppssss!!

    my bad, you complety right

  • Just make sure you put the tyre on the right way.....

  • yes. but is that really such a bad thing to say about that bike when it's obviously too small? maybe i should have been extra helpful and given a number of a chiropractor or physio

Fair enough. But those of us who are freakishly tall (I'm 6'6") can't find bikes that fit us very easily. I could get one custom, sure, but I haven't the money (yet).

    It sucks.

  • well said

  • how long do they last when skidding?

    eleven days and five hours.

  • My project is now practically finished, I just need the frame highlighted and white hoods

I'm aware the chain is a little slack as I tweaked a few bits after the photo

    good work! very nice indeed

Mate there are a fair few of us who are 6'6" plus not riding custom frames. Check out Surly Steam rollers for a nice big OTP frame.

  • Got this at a boot fair last week (totally legit)
Should I keep the gears or change it to fixed
    Frames got great geometry

  • that's gorgeous. don't do a thing to it.

  • +1

if you want a fixed wheel bike buy an OTP.

I make do with my 61cm Lemond. It's ok. Perhaps I'd like a 63 or 64cm frame, but I get by. It's not too bad... but some may think my saddle is too high.

Agree, put some miles into it!

how tall are you? 6'6"? i'm 6'5" and my saddle is this high (60cm frame):

a few height challenged people have said its too high or looks ridiculous.. i agree.. but its perfect :)

Maybe I'm a bit taller in the torso than you, b/c my seatpost is a little lower than yours. Not much, though. Of course, my bike is 61cm and has a higher stand over height than yours (I'm assuming your is a Fuji).

I got one already, got too many bikes, but couldn't resist this one!
How many bikes should a guy own?

my frame is a genesis flyer and yes it does already have quite a low top tube. i have an inside leg of 1 meter so you can see where i'm coming from anyway haha!

  • Damn, you're leggy! Nice bike, though. It also occurred to me that my saddle might make my seatpost shorter... I have the stock one that came with the bike, and it's a lot fatter than yours. Anyway, I am in the process of changing a bunch of stuff on the bike and will post pics in a few weeks when it's done. Then you can see for yourself!

sounds good dude, i'm actually pretty evenly proportioned. maybe i'm bigger than 6'5" now? who knows. yeah the saddle usually does make a small difference to the amount of seatpost showing, going from a rolls to a flite i had to raise it by about an inch.

  • Ha aha ha aha haa, sure its a repost but some new rims for Hippy?

  • @ Skully, glad you like the bike.... picture's shit though.... and it's looking a bit different now.
Thinking of purchasing those Wolber RX1 Aeros off hilarystone n building them up. Should bee very noice after...

    and...

who's green on*one is that? Are they araya rims with a gold sparkle on them?? noooice.

  • @JapeS sorry for belated reply but just had to say this is beautiful, really nicely done.

Might look even nicer with black cranks ;) But do love a nice black and white combo.

    Are the bars/stem B123's and a pearl?

Cheers Fox, new cranks are on the list... I think all black Miche Advanced (thanks again for the tip-off Ed) is the way forward. Spot on with the bars, and the stem's a Jaguar.
