  • First Bike Build: Dry Fit
getting all the parts in the post... finally getting somewhere to looking like something i envisioned.

    can i get a hi 5 for 60's carpet?!

'58 Raleigh Lenton on Velocity rims on sjs hubs.
(stem + posts arent obviously in properly)
I've got most of the tools for the build, wondering if anyone has a couple of shotglasses full of waterproof grease in exchange for a beer? Also need a lockring tool for that sprocket.

    thx for looking

  • high fives

  • Haha, can you let me know how much they are mate?

will do - Condor's grand re-opening is this friday so might swing by after work.

  • Francoise is a cunt

Check the look on the dogs face in the last photo. Even he thinks Francoise is a cunt and this is an animal that licks it's own ringpiece!

    PS I'm not doggist!

  • I maked a fixie from a 1984 Pinarello frame.

    :..(

  • cheers ed. has your missus got an old carlton too?

no just outrageously identical to your bike, expect the frame is a normal one and it's pastel green.

Gorgeous looking frame, but IMO you put the wrong wheels on.

27" sprints FTW or at least some elegant box section rims.

  • 32c tyres and mudguards.

  • recently finished building this 1960 Carlton mixte for my girlfriend, she's well stoked

If i were you Ed, i'd get the rozzers onto this one...i think Leo has actually nicked your missus' bike!
    Ok, i'm confused now....who's is who's?

  • Ha ha. It is uncanilly similar... Stevie could barely tell them apart.

It was my way of injecting a bit of modern to a refurbed '58 frame.

cant wait for gazelle. such a beast. coming on friday. i'll post that on here when it comes. roadie at the moment, all campy parts, dont know if i should kill puppy

  • The pink one is Ed's right? I'm confused now?!

  • The pink one is Ed's right? I'm confused now?!

You mean they're totally different colours?

  • No, they're just differnet shades of pastel.

  • the only thing pink in Eds phto is that girl's tongue. (or incredibly big lip)

  • Shit man, I need to patent this shit!

  • Shit man, I need to pastel this shit!

what is this? i like it. I can see its a raleigh, but beyond that i'm confused.

  • i'm confused.

    Sit down and relax.

  • On the way back from Armortex, thought i would pop int BLB to check outthe new B43's, and before i knewit i had somehow talked myself into getting a pair of the polished . . initial impressions are that these are much better put together than H+'s, but only time will tell

  • Im getting there;
Need a new chain, chain ring, front brake
need to stick the new BB in, put the cranks on overhaul the headset (il wait a bit to do that though)
New rear tyres going on so these tyres are up for sale or swap for a rear randonneur :) (unless someone can tell me that Michelin axial bi-sport are good for skidding. . ) should be getting the MKS sylvans with double gates soon, some velox cloth tape for the bars and possibly KMC chain (do they make a 3/32? il have a look. ..)
