it's an absolute hoot! you can get into a mean aero position behind the basket as well. slowly dropping the tire pressures for maximum squish.

What is that good for exactly?
I'm looking at a Kaffenback 2 as the next light-tourer build, and I can see that bankiren is running 37's on 700c rims even though on the homepage it says 32mm max. Has the circumference something to do with him being able to have 37's in?

Potentially stupid question.
I'm going to turn my fixed gear into a single speed for a few months. Having never ridden single speed before I'm wondering should I just run the same gearing? Or should it be spinnier?
Currently running 49x19

Same gearing is fine. If anything SS is more forgiving in terms of gearing choice as you can coast.
Be prepared for a weird sensation. I felt like I was about to fall off the bike a few times when I build a SS a few years ago.

Front mech upgrade, Force 2010 --> Force 22. I wasn't previously familiar with the word "yaw" but it appears to mean "smoother changes and no more chain rub in certain gear combinations". Yay!
(Does anyone need a front mech?)
-
• #108447
Doesn't mean anything, but most of the fixed/free combos I've seen have the freewheel as an easier, 'bail out' gear.

I think you mean 'Yaw!'
