Which bike?

Machine the crown race down to the ISO diameter (26.4 mm) and use an ISO headset instead. The head tube diameter is close enough to be within tolerance. Or use the Park Tool CRC-1, details here.

No problem. What did you get? My tandem uses JIS (FFS), but I might get it machined down as I suggested to you.

I actually have access to a lathe at work, so if this one doesn't work I'll machine a 26.4 crown race to 27.0

cheers...52x19... Goldtec reversible chainring and Phil sprocket. smoooooooth. (albeit a little high when rack bag is full)

73ish inch gear, I'm at 70ish at the mo. What size tyres are they and what guards? Sorry to norze it!

SKS raceblade mudguards, 28c Panaracer Pasela tyres... I've been considering attaching a full clip-on guard at the back.. sadly no clearance at the front...

that rack mounting seems a little sketchy, do you put much heavy stuff on it?

I think the heaviest I've had is an open Chrome Rack duffle (40l closed, so maybe 60l?) full of beer cans. have carried boxes and shopping as well, and periodically check the bolts, never had any problems...

here it is on the 'dale... full of Mission backpacks... this was sketchy to be fair....

Progress. Hoping to uninstall brakeless situation and wrap bars soon. Suggestions welcome. It seems to ride pretty nicely, tried it slowly around the neighbourhood.

How much were you looking for?

Do you have large rocks in your garden? Or is it some sort of cliff face/mountain. Either way. Looks great.
