  • That's so hot right now.

I might have some black chain ring bolts knocking about. Brake over the grip is an interesting touch, black that arrospok up with some wd40 ;)

  • @Object
Surely, a comma is missing from your comment ... ?

Can't wait to have a go on that fiddy.
Can't wait to have a go on that, fiddy.

@TS lookin nice rudebwoy, if a little... black! Black!
YouTube - Fast Show Johnny nice painter

  • Looking nice Joe, what rear wheel you gonna have on it then? Looks fine as it is accept the non black hub and nipples ;-)

  • Not mega-stealth, but stealthy enough for now... Can't really be arsed to try and get black bolts/headset... And I still can't get my fucking saddle level, poxy cheap seatpost...

Looking bad-ass, I might have a set of black bolts (Thomson no less) you can have for free. Are you going to shorter that brake cable !?

[EDIT - I said almost exactly what Ant has just said ! :) - "I might have some black chain ring bolts knocking about."]

  • You need that new CK stealth headset, i think they do a gripnut verison

  • Black chainring bolts gratefully accepted! :)
New wheels gonna be H Plus Son laced to a freshly powdercoated double-fixed Goldtec... And I'd love one of those stealth King headsets, was gonna try a quill stem (cheers VV) and see how that works, it's got a quill-to-ahead converter in atm so I can swap risers to drops easier for the track...
Bit of a mish-mash but lotsa fun to ride all the same...
I might try the WD40 on the 'Spok, it's a bit grey, innit?
And yes, I will be shortening that cable... :D

  • I think you need to loose the aerospoke graphic - get some label remover from Maplins, works a treat on rims

I've been meaning to swap it to Arrospok since I bought it... Now's probably the perfect time... Hehehe...

  • Do a matt black arrospok . . . would look the nuts

I have a load of spare (new) black chain ring bolts in my giant box of cycle wonderment.

Do it! But in black decal. Ultimate Stealth!
    Bike looks real good BTW.

According to the CK website all their headsets are going to be like that from November on. Only black will be available with white decals after that.

  • stealth bikes are so two weeks ago

Hopefully that will release a load of cheap CK headsets with white graphics.

    I'm so relieved...
    You mong...

they would have been, if you'd seen them

  • Stealth bike so far, rear wheel still to be built up...

I ordered the black Sugino chainring bolts off Bens Cycles and they turned out to be fecking doubles even though labelled singles = pissed. (and for sale)

Get a black 105 headset on there and be like me.

  • It's looking good Joe. You'll be a swine to spot though when you're in full stealth mode.

  • Sitting waiting for parts to arrive, which is a bit boring. Had the frame renovated at Bob Jackson. They have done a really good job for 199 quid, including pick up and drop off. Which does not seem that expensive when you consider they had to make custom stencils of all the graphics to match the originals.

From correspondence with various parties, it looks like it might well be one of the frames made in preparation of the Tony Rominger Hour Record - there where 2 x frames made. This frame is stamped 'A 60' and has identical graphics to the bike ridden by Rominiger.

  • @Teenslain - What brake levers are those and where did you get the extra long grips, LBS don't stock anything out of the norm. Cheers.

  • if you like you can try gun blue for blackn your bolts. depends what they are made from, that stuff works mint on steel not sure on alloy, but worth a try

  • @ teenslain, what brake caliper is that and is it stock colour? bike looks well nice btw.

  • the brake lever is a Dirty Harry or a Gold Finger, and the grips are SOYO.
