  • Hahaha yea it's the one that was thrown in with the gruppo, I think the long cage really pulls out a lot.

Turns out it's from the 2000 catalogue and was a pretty rare bird: special order and can't find any others around on the webs. Koga Miyata totally ripped off Max tubes (or just bought and relabeled them).

Clearly not original setup, but bollocks to Shimano 105.

  • i'm thinking about repainting my bike for the new year.

i really like the flat red on the dsc akira bike from years ago. i want to emulate that, but with http://www.montanacolors.com/webapp/spray guacamole green or medium yellow. do the job myself. i won't be riding for a bit because of an injury, so why not clean up my mess of a bike? maybe the stem too. just ideas. *but before that, sort out my stuck seatpost.

  • down time, the most dangerous time

  • Happy birthday to me.
Stupidly only ordered one rim, so have to wait longer and pay shipping twice.

    Been there... Such shame.

  • Love that Marc!!! cheers,,,,,, more pictures?

    Finally find my front AX

  • Snap...sort of.

Wonder when they went from lower case to all caps, and external to internal headset.

    Is yours 1" steerer?

I added some new marks to mine last night by sliding it down the banking at the velodrome, then letting it fall over while getting the roof carrier ready.

  • Finished off the Pompino cobble crusher/graver grinder/bridleway basher. Really does feel like it could roll over everything.

  • Tidy build. I like Pomps.

    Gumwalls improve everything.

  • I'm so jealous of the Koga track bikes, it's kinda why I ended up with that fullpro.

  • slowly building up trust to old epoxy....

  • What's the max space recommended between top of stem and top of steerer? Specifically when the steerer is carbon. My long head tube and uncut brand new fork with current stem set up would leave 7mm and my understanding is more than 5mm is advised against. Help me @mdcc_tester you're my only hope.

  • Help me @mdcc_tester you're my only hope.

The top of the steerer should be above the top of the stem.

Edit: And below the level of your face

  • Hmm... Yes... Interesting.

  • Looks good. Fixed? I have a similar setup on my pomp, it's great.

  • Yeah, but there is a freewheel on the other side for SSCX

  • road pedals though?

  • Used for the road commute for the moment. I do have some SPDs though.

  • Yep 1inch threadless steerer. Paint chips very easily as well which I've learnt recently

  • Built up first roadbike for LeMiss over the weekend just in time for The Omloop. Still needs cage, less crappy tires and maybe a nude carbon fork, paint shop sprayed it despite I requested otherwise. (and less crapy pic)

  • Can the Hope SS trials disc hub be used with bolt on cog on one side and SS on other?

  • Don't see why not.
Chainline might be an issue though.

  • On a custom frame catered for that .. additional question, Can I use that set up with 6800 cranks?
