i just finished my coppi a few weeks ago.
first wheels i've built, was a lot of fun and took some patience... i had to relace the back wheel 3 times (i know, its easy... but... i'm a bit of a monkey) but finishing them was priceless! wouldn't have been able to build the complete ride this easily without reading all the info from you guys so THANKS! - chris

Thats a bit too good for a child seat, you really want some thing with 26.1.5 at least for the child seat combo to work. 700 X 38s might be ok , but I found the extra width 0 the 1.5s and 1.75s made it more stable
I ve a steel mtb frame, that unfortunately now needs a new rear drop, on which my 1st 2 were transported upon . I suspect by the photo's it it might fit you. PM if interested, its yours for a nominal sum.
Picked up this today from t' North after a lucky Ebay find and months of scouring. Head spinning with all the ideas but its got to be sensible as gonna have a child carrier on it soon so really tempted to just make subtle changes and enjoy it as is.

Awful grainy pic of my girlfriends nearly finished cilo racer. Shimano 600 drivetrain, campagnolo wheels and sora brakes.
Still need to wrap the bars, get some dustcaps for the cranks and eventually change the brakes for 600 ones.
Then when my cilo frame arrives(pics a few pages back) it'll be built in a similar fashion. Matching ftw.
handlebars are high as the fork is not original and the butting doesn't allow the stem in right to the bottom, it's comfy for liz tho so its all good. Oh and the seats a bit high where i was pootling around setting up the gears. This bike looked hot out in the sun for its first ride today, theres so many purples in the fade you just can't go wrong. It's pretty damn nippy too. -

Looks nice edmundro, at the moment the forward reach to brakes seems quite long. As you have said dropping the saddle, stem and bar angle would help. I love these getting gf on bikes threads, ladies on bikes FTW!

you're right about the forward reach, ideally looking for a set of bars with a shorter reach before the drop, please pm anyone with grooved shallow drops for sale.

three weeks and about £250 later, mixture of new and old parts, the Edison is built, bit of a mix of colours, I have an obsession with orange but I think it looks alright and not bad for a first go, say hi if you see me on it:
This was in Jazz cycles the other day when I went in, nice paint on the frame. Going there today to see if they have FINALLY removed the BB from my Raleigh.

Finally got my new wheels this morning, Mavic CXP33 for the back and h plus son for the front! Hubs coming tommorow then it's nearly ready. Mint!
Cheers to snoops for the rear wheel and organicorgigin for the saddle. Both exactly what i wanted.
Although, that BMW is pretty tempting... Love those bikes.

Thanks for the help Kingcutter - A true gent. True true gent!
Yellow Chain = Unipack.
Just kidding FLower. Nice Frame.
Temporary built up; frontwheel is going to be changed to a shamal and stem is going to be changed to ?
Hahahahaha. Limp dick stem and keraaaazy bars. Gonna be really comfy in those drops. I reckon you got off lightly with only a gentle scorching for that picture.

The Mercian that this is referring to is bloomin lovely. I'm really into dark contrasts now! Everyone always does white head tube and seat bands, it so boring. Take note Superprecise. And forget all that lining man. Seriously. Lining is for this:
Lovely build, Marcola. Just lovely.
I wonder if Lucky 7 has any more gems to sell...
