  • New (to me) wheels... Baylis-Wiley hubs on 27" Weinmann rims, 32 on the front and 40 on the back... Cups were a bit pitted but they should roll OK, no skids! Think I'm gonna have a hard time getting 1" Panaracer Paselas to stay on the rim (no hook!)... Gonna stick them on the Mercian in time for Veteran's Day at Herne Hill next weekend... Sunday wheels!!! :]

  • really nice Jim.. Always enjoyed that kind of fork crown

  • maximum sexytime for Jim 'n' Joe! But please, someone sort those bars out on that Alan!

  • haha everybody on the bars..it was just a quick fix...offcourse they go a little bit to the front when ready..not going to leave it this way

  • and while we're on it, couldn't you find a nicer stem? ;)

apologies for being such a nazi, i'm in a grump.

  • apologies for being such a nazi, i'm a ginger and the sun is out so I can't go out side.

    I feel your pain brother.

  • Lovin' the new frame, Jim... You got all the bits already?

  • ha, unfortunately that's not the reason but you are essentially correct.

  • Lovin' the new frame, Jim... You got all the bits already?

Na not yet. I'am getting a 24" front wheel for and I'm going to order a new h-set on Monday for it. Then all I'll need is a stem, a saddle, a BB and chain set. Actually that not that much I'll have to have a look in the parts box at work.

  • Looks familiar, nice!

Strange: ahead stem on a threaded fork.
If you need a nice quill stem: I can offer you a NOS Cinelli 1A in 12cm.
But looking at the deep angle, you may prefer a 2A, 3A or Look Ergostem.
If you need Alfredo Binada toestraps, ask Erik in Neerkant. But you can find cheaper Lapize of you don't need Binda's.
Last thing (to be a pain in the @$$: the quick release of the front wheel should be the other way 'round. ;-)

Temporary built up; frontwheel is going to be changed to a shamal and stem is going to be changed to ?

  • Still not finished in this photo, but it gives you a full picture of the Geo.

    Marty's a genius.

  • Your next BJ? that's a great colour combination mate!

  • my first! I need some colour in my life (racist).

how do you see at night?

    SP- tourer?

  • Are you actually going to have two lug lining colour?

    hmm, maybe.

  • Not that it doesn't look bad, it look great, I never thought of putting two different colour of lug lining before.

  • SP- tourer?

audax/sunny days/light touring. racer with rack.

  • I'm getting my father the exact same model actually, in cobalt blue with silver lug lining and white decals, trying to give it an 1970's Italian racer style with modern component.
