Starting from blood. Actually surprisingly simple if a bit messy. My dad brought some round. I assume it was from a pig and not my mother.

Black pudding is immense. There is a stall at Bury market that sells it, its lovely cut in half with picallili and mustard on top.

600g chestnut mushrooms
300g shallots
150g butter
tabasco,
dijon mustard,
fresh horseradishchuck it together and weigh it down overnight.

reet - got to do a BBQ for about 25 people - I've got a 4x2ft barbie and rather than do the usual everyone bring cheap sossies from Iceland I'd rather do one magnificent piece of meat
How hard do you reckon it would be to jerry rig a spit device and do a suckling pig?

Followed by a rather nice home-made black pudding with scrambled eggs on some toasted muffins.
Then I've been starving myself in preparation for lunch tomorrow which will consist of the above foil-wrapped, water weighted secret.
