^What Dooks said but it looks bloody fantastic. I cannae afford steak, so am thinking of doing a chicken liver parfait(y) thing, crispy bacon either side, and then the mushrooms. Worried about lack of texture hence bacon but still might be a little soft!

did you watch froggy chops on the telly last night making chicken parfait? he's a bit good is old raymond.

I tell ya, I like a bit of parfait as much as the next fat-fiend, but when you see that stuff being made, and the amount of, well, pure fat it swallows...didn't see Raymond myself but when I cooked we always had parfait on the menu so speak from experience. Frightening. Little salad garnish makes it all better though, natch.

THE PARFAIT! THE PARFAIT! how did that look rank? it's what gave me the idea! parfait is good for you, in the same way that bacon is...

haha.
got a hankering for a dirty great big prawn baguette on my way home from swimming tonight. found a packet of fresh king prawns, fried them in olive oil for a couple of minutes with half a big sweet red chilli, some grated ginger, three cloves of garlic and the juice of half a lemon. then it's just cut section baguette the length of your forearm, smear with mayo, add big pile of prawns, pour of a bit of the emulsified, cooking juice, bit of greenery, salt, pepper and NOM. so good.
