Sunday hangover fry up, duck egg cafe brixton
I liked it better when it was 'burnt bread'. Tried the crepe place in the new bit of the market. Value for money - will be back on sat for brunch.

I know the cheek right?!
I'm recreating this again this week, but brighton sausage company bangers, streaky bacon, small cherry toms and small button garlickey mushrooms, sweetcorn fritters, brown bread, hot pepper beanz. AND *black pudding

I don't live in Brixton, just went up for the weekend to see my friend(s), go to plan b, and eat! -

It needs black pudding to take it to the next level!

8.95 for the double duck egg.
Was pretty decent.
I agree one must embrace the dark side to get the most from a fried brekkie. -

Were you honestly served some pig and a packet of ready salted with half an orange?
-
• #5062
^^That's called Leitão da Bairrada, and it's much more than crispy chips and pork (and orange).
CYOA, you'd love that, have 2nds and 3rds and cry for more. -

You've gone too far this time, Portugal.

It really wasn't much kop. Dunno if it was me, but there was no sauce, skin wasn't crispy, and the crisps made it all too salty! Like I say rest of the grub and wine/beer was top notch. New I shoulda had pork, clams and fries or octopus rice! Teach me to stray from Nuknow's advice, but couldn't remember what he had said!

Pork, clams,fries,octopus,rice. Now we're talking.
I'm so fucking hungry.
I've been 'dieting' all month. Bar one or two moments of weakness including an impromptu bodeans - lots of lean grilled meat and vegetables and fuck all else apart from cucumber on crisp-bread and the like. It's depressing...
As soon as I can fit back into my favourite pair of jeans after the excesses of the holidays and I'm hitting that shit hard.

they are a bit much for me, taste lingers for a while
has anyone on here had a double yoker??? I used to get at least one a month as a kid. i have seen one in the last ... must be 5 years. . whats going on?
We get our eggs from the local farm, cycle past leave a quid in the honesty box. Often get the double yolk.
It is WIN.

Just put some mutton marinated in onion, garlic, rosemary, chilli, salt pepper and olive oil into a tagine in the oven... Hope it works... fingers crossed

Might need a little liquid, but after a few hours is basically guaranteed win. Nom!

Incredible, wonderful results... I spent a fiver at Brixton market and got a massive tray of mutton (chops, breast, leg, allsorts)... Cheap eats, blud... :P
Loads (and I mean LOADS AND LOADS) of leftovers...
Went to O Cantinho, really enjoyed it. Kind of stuffed up the orders. What I thought the waiter meant was crispy pork, but he actually meant crispy potatoes (crisps). Suckling pig was excellent, crisps less so. my friend had the steak in wine with fries which was fuuuuuuuu nice.
