  • Lol that you think it'll even make it until tonight.

How much is a chunk of topside down under?

  • $17 per kg, so about £9 per kg. How does that compare to prices back home?

I'm always amazed when I watch Glen & Friends on YouTube how little he pays for animal protein in Canada.

Oxtail is $25 per kg these days, a couple of years ago it was pennies. Secondary cuts seem to cost more than primary cuts now! Tho' I do get ox liver for the dog for $4 per kg.

  • Yeah, ours is more expensive unsurprisingly - I'd prob expect between £10 and £15 per kilo depending where you're getting it from.

    Philip Warren it's £25/kg (47 dollar bucks), Sainsbury's is £13.50

  • Murica doing pasta on planks because Milwaukee

  • That’s fine as long as they remove the dead man’s fingers from the crab, not everyone knows about them being bad for you.
And TBH I would prefer the brown meat mixed with breadcrumbs, salt, pepper and a little vinegar as that’s how it’s done in a proper dressed crab.
It can be a bit wet straight out the crab and not that palatable to some.

  • Completely legitimate way to serve a seafood boil I'd say

  • Didn't think that dead man's fingers are bad for you, just taste bad. Like eating feathers.

  • They are likely to have heavy metals in them, can’t say I would want to eat something that tastes bad either.

  • is that a random potato in the middle of it?

i'd take moules frites over that mess any day.

Looks like a version of this type of thing - it's a decent way to eat crawfish and a nice big cook out but cant say it would be how I'd wanna eat crab or mussels

  • I think this acceptable way to serve a pile of shellfish to a group is really distracting from serving spaghetti and sauce on a fucking wooden board

  • This is absolutely a staple in New Orleans, potatoes and corn thrown into the mix, it can also be cooked ‘boil in a bag’ and crab or lobster are great done this way too.

These guys are worth a visit if you want to sample it done right in London
