Isn't Circulon aluminium though?
[Edit] Just checked - yep, not magnetic at all. That's not going to work on induction, I don't think.
We've a frying pan that lost it's non-stick forever ago, but works like cast iron in that you can scour it & season it, at it works great.

Woll make induction non-stick pans, take a look... I'm so impressed with the quality of their stuff...

Mine is definitely magnetic
(just noticed that it also says Induction on the bottom too).
You had me worried as I'm getting an induction hob fitted tomorrow.

Cleaning tip alert!
I was storing some Indonesian dried shrimp in a mason jar, haven't been able to get rid of the lingering odour, pretty disgusting smell TBH... Tried everything, vinegar, orange oil, bicarb, etc... Internet says try some mustard and hot water... Teaspoon of French's and a cup of hot water from the tap has solved the problem!
You're welcome...

I got a set of John Lewis steel pans when we inherited an induction hob five years ago. All still going strong, no warping, wobbly handles, stains or discolouration. I’m a total induction convert.

Cast iron works on induction so my old grill pans are grand too

Awesome! I ate at Dario Cecchini’s and visited Fontodi as a sort of Heat pilgrimage a couple of weeks ago. Need to read that
-
• #30213
I hope you also went to some NF meetings as an Among the Thugs pilgrimage.
-
• #30214
What did you make of Dario Cecchini's? I went there about a year ago, not because of Heat, but because I've ridden past it many time on L'eroica, and it has that 'must visit' look about it.

I got properly stinking drunk there. we were staying nearby a few years back doing a cycling trip with my wife and that was the local resturant.
can't remember the food much. a lot of raw meat I think. do remember the drinking, cheap chianti, and the communal sitting together thing. imagine it's a bit different following the chef's table, not to mention covid. definately, for me, wasn't the best place of that trip for food, but the memories have stayed more than other places so it must have been fun.
We had to cycle on to our next stop the morning after and the cheap wine hangover in 35 degree heat was horrible

Similar thing for me. Was expecting / hoping to eat some mind-blowing steak, which wasn't the case, but the experience as a whole - the theatre of it, and sharing table with people from all over the world - was tremendous. Also drank too much wine.

Errr yeah kinda the same although I went with family on the drive down from Florence to Spoleto for my wedding - had to drive 3 hours the next day in a full people carrier with a rotten hangover due to the byob

that looks fucking banging
Trattoria Sostanza is astounding if anyone's in Florence
-
• #30221
Oh, I was in the same place, had some unremarkable stew, wife had some horrific pork slab
accompanied by inedible sides and that horrific bread they have in Florence.
Good times.

I've been there. Amazing little spot. I watched two very old ladies absolutely demolish a fucking massive t-bone quickly whilst shouting at each other

On the subject of amazing steak, or rather the opposite - went to the Hand in Flowers recently.
Had very high expectations. It was shit.

Tom Kerridge’s place?
Went to his smaller one in Marlow - The Coach, thought it was bang average -
• #30225
Yep,
That's the one. Cycled out to Marlow to be disappointed.
In other news, Bill Buford is making me desperate to get my ass to Lyon, which, I know, I should have done long ago.
We had the Aubergine & Pea curry last night, substituting tinned tomatoes for fresh, but adding fresh tomatoes at the end.
