Deep-fat fryers are pretty fun but make sure you've got a system for disposing of the oil. Most councils will take it away for you but check.
Trust, it's hellish walking for miles with 2 litres of dirty cooking oil to try find a place to dispose of it.

Hello!
Some of you know me, most don't. I've been in the cheese biz for over a decade and finally trying out something of my own.
I'm shamelessly promoting myself on here, but I figure you'll be kind as I've been riding bikes with you almost as long as I've been selling cheese.
If you love fondue, check it out.

Just discovered Shakshuka, will make some tomorrow for lunch, anyway any suggestions on what I should add for extra flavour?

it's pretty malleable, depends what you are putting in currently. Most of my dishes start with a sofrito of some kind, so garlic, onion and chillies then i'll usually add cumin and smoked paprika, with salt and black pepper.
good "the perfect" from felicity cloake on it..

Wanna share my current fave side dish... Wedges of sweet potato, salt, pepper, fennel seeds and a tiny drizzle of olive oil... Roast in the oven until tender and a bit crispy, absolutely delicious... The fennel seeds take the sweet potato to a dizzying new level of Nom...
I can report that this is delicious and that adding chilli flakes is an excellent idea.

Can openers, which ones aren't shit? I seem to have thrown a whole variety away during the years and ended up resorting to a swiss army penknife halfway through cooking.

Any of the shiny, metal German ones, if you look at the price and think fuck me that's a lot for a can opener, that's the one for you..

What spice rub is that, or is that kfc's blend of 11 herbs and spices?

Just get one of these
Great design, far quicker to use than the mechanical ones and there's nothing that can break.
