  • Smoke first and then finish in normal oven

  • Either less carbs or that is where the gluten hides.

    Why not ask?

Proabably to do with getting hands dirty but why do you get cutlery?

  • No tripe is not. That is like saying that after boiling the veg for three hours means the veg is cooked.

You had proper pie crust ot dumpings made with beef suet? That is lovely.

  • Thanks - that's what I'm doing. Just put the shoulder in the oven after smoking yesterday evening.

  • Put it in a normal oven at 100°c overnight, problem solved...

For future reference - this works beautifully.

  • ar fig tree has gone mental. things to do with figues?

  • fig jam

fig salad with air dried ham

  • figs, greek yoghut, toasted flaked almonds and honey for breakfast for weeks

  • Split them, chuck 'em in the oven overnight as low as it'll go... Maybe drizzle a tiny bit of honey on them beforehand? Keep 'em in an airtight container in the fridge and munch on them as they are or chuck them in muesli/cakes/ice cream...

  • Drinking game... Rehydrate with bourbon, munch in front of TV 'til one of you falls over...

  • Result:

  • Served with a variation on pit cue mustard slaw and bbq sauce.

Not the pit cue bbq sauce which takes a week to make. One made with mustard, ketchup etc which takes 3 minutes and tastes GOOD!

  • mrs hell smashed it.

  • They look great.

Is that cheese in the top one? If so, what is?

  • goat and instagram filter.

  • clafoutis? nice.

  • Do you still have some? Wanna trade em?

  • all gone i'm afraid - at least until the tree proffers a new batch.

  • keep me in the loop in case you have surplus, I miss not having a fig tree myself

  • they're fussy fuckers that can go years without bearing fruit (tho technically they're flowers). last time it delivared was 2013.

i'll swap one fig for one squar plate.

  • you need bees to help pollinate the flowers..

I can trade figs for figs, your fresh ones for a jar of my mum's caramelised ones smuggled from Italy. I should have a square jar..

  • figs, greek yoghut, toasted flaked almonds and honey for breakfast for weeks

I don't seem to remember inviting you to breakfast but I had this on the weekend!

    • chia seeds and hazelnuts instead of almonds
  • This used to be a regular breakfast for me with a bit of cinnamon on top, haven't done it in ages. I know what I'm doing tomorrow!

  • I did come by. But you must have been for a walk. The first bowl was too figgy. The second bowl was too nutty. The third one was just right.
