Went to the Hot Dinners party in Selfridges this eve.
This bloke cooked an awesome scallop dish: http://www.standard.co.uk/goingout/restaurants/adam-rawson-london-s-hottest-young-chef-on-peruvian-food-pachamama-and-opening-a-new-viajante-a2955617.html
Best part was all the booze - suitably sauced rn

How does one cook a frozen dumpling?
-
• #23114
sesame seed oil, fry for couple of mins, boiling water to cover base, cover and simmer for 8-ish mins. At least thats how I do it. See-woo kimchi dumplings FTW!
-
• #23115
cooking with sesame oil's a bit risky. it burns really easily - add it afterwards to taste. normal cooking oil should do the trick - and not too much of it.

I was taught by @Doctor_Cake of this here parish:
- Get a pan like this one, start off with no lid whilst frying..
- Whack a bit of veg or sunflower oil in, like a tablespoon and get it medium hot.
- Add frozen dumplings and fry on each side until crispy.
- Grab the lid and have it ready, splash a couple of tablespoons max of water in the pan and whack the lid on. Steam through for 3-4 minutes.

Bamboo steamers are good, but fried tho!

ROUND bamboo steamer.
Indeed I should!
must confess, I've been eating dumplings every day last week and 1 more day on weekend won't hurt.
