Sunday lunch.
Yer basic ingredients;
Arranged with olive oil, garlic and rosemary.
Barbequed, but just as good grilled
Served with new potatoes and green salad.
I've struggled to get these photos on board... (sorry, they're (were?) huuge)
A warning, this has aphrodisiac powers, so make sure there's someone suitable within reach.
If you EVER want to invite me round for lunch... ;)

They are not called courgettes. Courgette is a french word. Are you fucking French? No? Then STFU.
Same goes for punks who refer to eggplants as aubergine. Twats.

I've UTFS but returned no good results. Thought l'd post on this foodie thread rather than start a new one. Can anyone recommend good tapas bars in central London? Not after OTT 5star stuff, just the kind of tasty, authentic, robust tapas you get at any decent bar in Spain. TIA!

Central, dunno.
South, La Terazza on Bedford Rd, Clap North.
Or Paoloz Way on Brixton Hill is cool (Portugese, can't compare it to any of the forum's favoured nosholes cos never been but I liked this place) -

sangria on upper street is nice. went these last week. thought it was a tad over priced at the time... but then we did have two big jugs of the eponymous.

Navarro's on Charlotte St? I haven't been there for a while but have had some great food in the past. Fino (also on Charlotte St) is supposed to be ok, but I haven't eaten there.

Ive decided to have a chilli party.
I'm so excited I can hardly contain myself, it takes me two-three days to properly maki chilli, and around 15 ingrediants, none of which include sweetcorn, broccoli or carrots, you bleeding English heathens.
It does include southern comfort,
espresso and fresh tomatoes. -

I might even have to cold smoke some garlic....
(starts salivating)

mmmmm......chili.

reminds me of halloween, as that is when my mum would always make it.
ahh what I would give for good mexican food. -
• #2245
Did you say Mexican?
It's not really a mexican dish, more Tex-Mex. -
• #2246
well, whatever.
tasty is what it is, and i still lament the lack of mexican/ Tex mex/ So-Cal food in this country. -

Been scanning over the Londontown.com site and they all seem pretty good, usual positive and negative reviews. Glancing at the menu's had me salivating! I've earmarked a few and will pick one depending on our mood!

what i thought was a green pepper fell off one of my pepper plants yesterday. i picked it up, took a large bite and was munching away when i realised it was actually a jalapeno pepper. took about an hour for the burning to subside, despite downing a large glass of milk.....

Excellent. I once forgot to warn my family that there were three whole red chillies left in a curry I cooked for them, the small variety that's about 1.5cm long, and that they should look out for them. My sister got one in a bite and spent the next couple of hours trying to calm down ... oops.

Had a nasty moment in a Chinese in Earls Court Thursday with a chili or two... why they had to use the thermonuclear ones with the deepfried chili-prawns Heaven Only Knows... had to have another bottle of wine to recover.
Trying to find a decent, reasonably priced, Chinese far more difficult than it should be.
