Try to make it with mixed herbs, let it cool on a marble slab in a thin layer, then slice it and fry it, you'll have awesome crisps! Had them at The Gate on St. John Street and then made them at home a couple of times.

I've heard good things about both the Yak and Yeti and Tiffin Tin, not tried either yet though.

quick one, asked this before, but the job went away so didn't write down any responses.
But going to be working in Singapore for the next couple of days, staying at the mandarin marina hotel.
So apart from attempting to eat my bodyweight in fried dumplings, where's good to eat, in the area that I'll be staying, map link below.
going out to @mands @Tenderloin @NurseHolliday @rive_gauche

I think I stayed there, the weird, huge hollowed out place, there's a little street food market right around the corner from you... Get a cab in to the main square (forget the name) at night and fill your guts with satay skewers...
-
• #21194
Yup, just checked and we did stay there... The food market is between the hotel and the water... There's also a mall over the road that does great breakfast stuff... Well jelly, the food in Singapore is sensational... Pretty much the only thing it's got going for it IMHO...

Ha. You luck get Corny. pics plse.
Twin Sum didn't happen. Ladywife's work thing dragged on late and it was 9:45 by the time we left Westminster. Grabbed some disappointing plates at Ping Pong by the RFH and cabbed it home. Meh.

If you don't have the 'Where chefs eat' book then I'd really reccommend it, if you travel quite often. The above site has the reccos from the book. I've not been to Singapore before. Just don't eat Durian on the train!

Just popped down to Woolies to pick up some bits and found some diced kangaroo meat on special, $3.50 for a kilo... Now in the pot being transformed into kangaragu...
Smells like venison, it's gonna be awesome... I've done it the nonna way with sliced onions and grated carrot...
Made some mega polenta last night, first time, used a Guardian recipe with milk and cheese, left the leftovers to set and had them for lunch today, really creamy, going to try baking it next
