^^ Hmm thanks. I'm gonna have to do some serious thinking as my lunch often consists of a salad with cold pasta. And I don't feel like eating salad twice a day.
Basically my dinners will be chicken breat or fish filet with preferably warm vegetables. The chicken/fish part is no problem for me to make different every time, but I'm no king in varying with vegetables.
Another problem is that I'm a student living in a student house. Now the others always eat together, which I never join because I dont like their greasy, unhealthy, pre-processed cooking at all. So I have to cook for one person every day which doesnt leave much space for many different types of veggies as they tend to go bad before I finished them... -

I like the idea of the baking powder but I cant see where the taste issue is cleared up? I don't want my crackling tasting slightly metallic...

Ah ok, so Baking Powder work when drying and tastes ok.
Baking Soda looks good but tastes naff?
-
• #17508
Pretty much. And iirc when just a little bit of baking soda is used in combination with drying, the colour gets even better without affecting the taste. However, drying + baking powder should do the job just fine, as the colour won't be much of an issue.

You can eat it hot or cold and use it to replicate rice/pasta etc
You can also make couscous using cauliflower and use that to host other fruit/veg

Oh that reminds me I've seen courgette being used as spaghetti somewhere.

Ha, yea - somebody gave me on of these as a present -
works really well, and you can make "pasta" with it,
thing is a little bit dumb to wash though! -

Grated cauliflower as 'rice' in a stir fry works really really well

^i used to get those all the time but frustratingly there's never enough meat on them as they are pretty tiny so you end up eating a shit load of skin to the meat ratio which is ultimately less satisfying and much more unhealthy.
they are still tasty though. esp with franks red hot buffalo wing sauce.
Eats Buffalo wings, worries about health?
I mixed the sauce with melted butter as instructed.

We had my Italian turkey meatloaf for dinner tonight, out of the freezer this morning and safely in my tummy now... I'll put the recipe up when I do my next batch, it's so fucking delicious... Freezes really well...

Bloody hell, today I ate like a pig and I'm still hungry. The more I eat and the more I get hungry. Anyway, is good to have on this forum people that can take care of the kitchen and all that stuff. I like just seat and eat.

My mum made an amazing spanikopita tonight.
Being back home and having food cooked and bought for you is excellent.

Yes, but sometime if you don't like it and you trow it all on air is even more excellent.

Lakeland sell some magic green bags that keep veggies fresh for longer. My mum swears by them.

You could cook with the veg that's going to go off and then freeze it in portions. Or store it cooked in the fridge ready to re-heat in another tasty dish?
In other news someone has brought creme egg brownies into the office today. Hell. Yes.

Does anyone have any suggestions for good bars or good restaurants near Shepherd Market? in Mayfair? I'm curious to try the Mexican/Polish place but if there's something super teddy bear laser kitten awesome nearby I'll consider it instead. But, bars or pubs nearby mainly?

Waitrose magazine's got a recipe for chocolate brownie cookies, so might be adding a few pounds this weekend
Salads. Simple, and if you put some effort in very tasty. Light soups. Fish with spinich, and a fennel and lemon dressing. Boullabaisse. Connsumme. Stir fry without noodles.
