Painfully hip take on Mexican food with a really limited menu in the grand scheme of things. More of a cocktail place with food, rather than the other way around. A better option nearby would be Wahaca to be honest.

Or carry on walking for another 10 minutes and you'll have made it to Lupita on Villiers street.
As far as I know still the best Mexican food in the west end. -

La Bodega Negra- AVOID! Went there with a few people there were 7 of us, we had booked a table. The staff came and perched like they were our mates, it was really loud from the pumped-in music, hard to hold any kind of conversation.
The drinks were alright but quite expensive and took a good while to arrive, especially cocktails.
The 'food' its mexican tapas style small plates.. they were tiny and prioced like they were full sized food. The tacos were about 10cm across like an amuse-bouche. It was kind of tasty but I mostly left feeling hungry and out of pocket.

Big Easy on the Kings Road? I know a few people who've had food poisoning there, myself included... Full of dickhead Sloaney ra-ra types the last time I was in*...

I found this 'spreadable chorizo' at a farmers market yesterday.
It doesn't look very good...
However... The taste of chorizo is amazing! Incredible!
I really hope the bloke gets enough business to stay there. He also had sweet and sour smoked paprika which I've not seen before.

Doesnt look too good inside the package indeed, but I bet it would look and most definitely taste good on a piece of bread or toast!

You do realise this is the kind of thing you find in the Spanish version of LIDL, right?

It's not spreadable chorizo, it's sobrasada and it shouldn't come from a friggin plastic tub. It's not margarine FFS.
This is what they're supposed to look like. Well hung.
It's lovely on a pa 'amb oli or with honey.
They also make a great cake with it.
Coca de sobrasada and apricots. The massa is made of potato flour. -

Dishoom = decent.
Pomelo and prawn salad is great.
Go for stuff that isn't home-cooking and you'll have a great time. Spend £8 on dahl and you will not.
