...well, what *does *it contain? Or is it just bread, a bit of salad, and ketchup?
Everything but the burger.

..that's a joke, right?

No... Five guys thing is that there are about 25 toppings and they're all free. You can still have a pretty dope sandwich with just those in...

Also, not every restaurant has to cater to Vegetarians... I mean its a fucking burger place thats famous for its meat based products. Why does that have to something to be aghast about?

the list sounds like a subway sandwich. I hope these places won't be charging £2.50-3 for chips

It'd be nice if they did, alas they don't and I'll still be going (I'm vegetarian myself)

Doubt it, also, the portions in the US are serious, one order is more than enough for 2.

I'm not aghast at all, just thinking - either offer some decent vegetarian option or just don't offer any veg option at all.
"Well if you're vegetarian, we'll do you the dish, just without the meat" is sort-of meh, I think.
Anyways, if the sandwiches are great with just the "toppings" problem is solved alright. -

Ginger Pig on Lower Marsh is barbecueing their awesome burgers outside today. Ciabatta roll, lettuce, tomato and condiments on the side. Just destroyed one. Worth yr £4 or whatever considering these are the Hawksmoor burgers.
The cuban stall is doing some bogus "street festival" thing oppositre the Old Vic today and as a result the queue is ten times longer, they've made ten times as much barbecued pork and I have to say it looks ten times less appetising than normal. It's usually a ridiculously huge portion of big meaty chunks of meltingly soft pork with crispy charred burnt end-esque edges. Today it looks a bit wet and grey. Meh.

I will still be going for the above reason. I'm not aghast either at the lack of veggie options, I was just hoping for a new burger to try. I will totally get a toppings burger with all the sauces. I love condiments!
