  • No, new menu, called 'psychic burger'. Average at best. Five years ago I would've rated it higher, but with the competition around it just didn't cut it.

agree. Pretty average. Nothing particularly satisfying about it. Burgers should exclusively be served on potato rolls too. Fucking brioche.

  • I had a great cheeseburger on brioche in hache curtain road. they need to refit the interior of that place though..

  • Let me try that one again -
    stumbled over a version with, uh, "motivational captions";
maybe response will be a bit more enthiusiastic this time?

  • tno pls

  • okay, sorry, carry on with discussions about lots of meat now pls.

  • Tina, I would definitely eat that.

  • anyone know where i can get some stinking bishop between victoria and dalston?

  • Selfridges or Neals Yard.

    Epoisse > Stinking bishop.

Mons run the cheese counter in the food hall at Selfridges - They have a raw Munster cheese at the moment which is pretty good at the moment.

  • ^thanks, I'll try neals yard. just googled eopisse and it sounds interesting but it is for my gf's brother and he wants to try an english cheese

  • Paging Fixed Cheese! Loads of good English cheese.
I'm due a Neals Yard visit...

  • ^thanks, I'll try neals yard. just googled eopisse and it sounds interesting but it is for my gf's brother and he wants to try an english cheese

get yer sen a nice spot of colston basset stilton, duck.

  • can you buy a few 100g's of cheeses at neals yard?

I can only see 1/4 and 1/8 of cheeses on the website, might work out a bit pricey

  • you can.
they'll let you sample them all too.
    its like paradise...
ok i know where im going at lunchtime...!

  • great i'll head past later

  • I have 3 Abel and Cole first box free vouchers going. Gives you your first veg box free and at the moment you get your 4th box free as well so you only need to pay for the middle 2 boxes so ends up a pretty good deal (and they send you a free cookbook)

I will PM the number to the first 3 folk who want it.

  • Who's got the best wings recipe? i haz a kilo of wings from The Butchery and the missus is away. It's time for MAN FOOD.

  • These are good - brining them before grilling. Note that this is all US temps and measures.

Coat in sauce of your choice.

  • cheers. any recommended sauce recipes? saw one featuring cola, soy and hot sauce where you alternated between simmering in the sauce and oven baking. kind of intrigued.

  • Hmm. Not seen that one. Traditional buffalo wings sauces are pretty vinegary and have Louisiana Hot Sauce as the base (not Tabasco, but also vinegar based). The one you mentioned sounds more BBQ-y than buffalo wing-y.

  • There's a yakiniku idea that I want to try for wings.
Marinade and then thicken up for coating.

Done it for ribs and were great...

  • Yum Bun for Friday lunch again. SO good.

  • re wings...

Franks Red Hot (or other vinegary hot sauce... like Crystal etc.) and Butter. Thats all you need.
