  • Anyway. Cheating tonight.

    Ordered pizza from Dominos...

  • Pasta and Breadcrumbs - double carbs :O

  • you forgot the garlic bread to go with it.

  • Oh and the beer to wash it down with... um...beeeeer!

  • I think Jamie Oliver is a fat-tongued flid but he's making some delicious food on TV right now.

Carbonara with chorizo. That gives me an erection.

I'm cooking roast pork. On a Friday. That's right.

  • I just bought another massive slab of pork shoulder, it'll be going in the oven overnight... Porchetta style this time...

  • I've got a load of homemade apple and calvados sauce which would go nicely with all y'all porkers...

Blade in? 100C at 10 hours should do it.

    Post pics.

  • Boneless unfortunately, it's still gonna be awesome tho'...

  • Nothing unfortunate about a boneless

  • Tiffin chilling in the fridge.

250g various chopped biscuits (I used ginger nuts, shortcake and chocolate fingers)
250g fruit and nuts (pistachios, dried cranberries, walnuts, hazlenuts, glace cherries)
300g milk and dark chocolate melted with 140g golden syrup and 100g butter
grease and line a 20cm square tin, chuck biscuit and nut mixture in, pour melted chocolate mixture over, make sure it gets in all the cracks.
chill in fridge for at least 2 hours.

will post a pic when it's done.

  • I'm doing skate knobs tonight as a starter

  • ^ Thanks for sharing your sexual preferences on a food thread...

  • Baked cod with chorizo and cannellini beans. So tasty. So simple. A treat after a week of less healthy food.

  • My niece's boyfriend has just finished his first week of working in Pollen Street Social. Only 19 and throwing out Michelin starred starters. Baller.

  • Athertons place?

Anyone got a solid recipe for Pork Rillete? and also pumpernikel bread

  • had this one in mind, but would be open to anyone who has made it before

  • [QUOTE=Tenderloin;3301311]Athertons place?/QUOTE]

Yep, apparently got the job ahead of a preposterous amount of other candidates so hats off to him.

  • Pork Belly, Chorizo and Chickpea.

    Tasty floating fat goodness...

  • Also followed by 'Everything in the Fridge/Freezer Curry' but I'm not going to post a picture of that...

I think I may not have to actually 'cook' anything until the end of January now. The freezer is full of home made goodness.

However, I think once I get back from Chester/Lake District then BACON JAM might have to be made.

(It deserves the capitals, it's bacon jam! FFS!)

  • Is there a lfgss jam exchange? could there be?

  • I have a load of red onion marmalade and some tomato chutney I'd swap.

  • Anyone have recommendations for a one-day cookery class in London? I saw the E5 Bakehouse bread class looks interesting, I was thinking Mrs. Pharoah might like a day out cooking and eating (and learning a little) might make a decent gift since she enjoys cooking/baking. What have you done/recommend?

  • Cafe Caldesi - was nice. Did the pasta making. Bit basic, but would be a lovely present.

  • I'm going for West Ham v Everton 2-2 on Sat
