  • that looks foul!!

Its raw fish thats been sitting around in a wooden bucket, rotting for several months, so it dont smell too clever either TBH.

Tastes great with a thick slice of boiled potatoe though!

  • Food to eat if you run out of real food

  • Just like dolmades... rice wrapped in a leaf - pfft!

  • you're kidding, right? smells of vomit.

Its the jelly like consistency that troubles me, the smell is'nt too bad. The real nasty food up here (IMO) is 'gammelost'. It actually means old cheese FFS

  • Great place, odd food

Must admitt I do wonder sometimes why Norwegians still eat these weirdly presserved fish products, now that we all have nice fridge freezers ;)

  • and a cup of a lovely warm lambs piss (filtrated by the same kidneys sec before death)
    yammy

Odd that people balk at the thought of eating things like liver and kidneys when the muscle tissue that makes up the majority of meat is far more likely to retain toxins and impurities like growth hormones.

    "you are what you eat"
    bon appetit

  • Never tried one myself, but dont star fruit smell like old socks, yet taste great?

  • Tahini and honey on toast (halwah/halva on toast basically).

Oh my god - for nearly 27 years I thought this was a taste unique to my family! Do you think we might be related?

Well at least you know a new tampon is clean and sterile, there are a lot worse things to stick in your mouth.

They're not, y'know. But don't get me started...

  • Star fruit are nice... the schtinky ones are Durians.

  • the chippy on the corner down goodge st is the best thing ever. fuck shitty fries.

  • agree with slaytanic1, just home from the pub and had a chipper on the way...can't beat a batter sausage and chips with lotsa vinegar!

  • There will be no vinegar in hippy's lippy chippy!

  • hippy uv got to have vinegar...you are missing out! hippy's lippy chippy - gud name for a chipper though!

  • bit of curry sauce now and again, sometimes beans. Fucking best, followed by a strong bastard brew (of the tea variety).

  • Not in my shop. First person to ask for vinegar will be thrown in the deep fryer and served to the second person asking for vinegar..

  • as long as it is real malt vinegar not 'non-brewed condiment' otherwise known as acetic acid, a byproduct of the oil refining industry.

Er... pretty much all of Pakistan enjoys Halwa on toast!

    Good snack:

Chuck some roughly chopped veg in a baking tray, courgette, mushrooms, garlic, red onion, drizzle olive oil and balsamic vinegar, add salt, pepper, and paprika, cover with Halloumi.

    Grill. Eat. Yum.

But why would you want to serve them deep-fried person when all they're asking for is some vinegar?

  • made for dinner...feta frittata with caramelized onion jam, serve with hot crunchy ciabatta or alternatively flat Turkish bread..quite yum!

  • Beans on Toast
