The vege cafe Food for Thought on Neal Street in Covent Garden is awesome.
Went there today with the family for lunch. It's really good food, and i'm not even vege!
Well good, used to goin there a few times a week when I worked in Duffer
Another ace vegelesbian place is 'Beetroot' in Berwick St market next to The Endurance. When I worked in Soho for years I'd be in there atleast once a week when I fancied a good clearout

Ate a packet of pork scratchings last night, feel guilty.....but still reminded that the simplest culinary pleasures in life are best. Took me 4 mins to get to Tescos to buy them, takes Heston Annoying Glasses Blumenwotsit 3 days to make his, and his look like rice crispies.
Not many better things in life than a bag of proper pork scratchings and a pint of Guinness
Heston Blumenthal is an annoying cunt. No I don't fuckin wanna wait 7hrs for my cheese on toast!

Sadly even pork scratchings, the cooked fat of a humble pig, have been ponced up; these are an effort between Tom Parker-Bowles, Matthew Fort and some fop called Rupert something or other. All Old Etonians. Approximately 8 in a pack by the feel of things from Selfridges, not much change from £5.

I bet they taste like Quavers

I've taken to giving them an extended poker face then explaining that sweet shops don't really sell anything with a 'neutral flavour'
Just make sure you say it very sweetly. :D

My first proper girlfriends Mum n Dad had this wicked country pub that served the best ever scratchings, fresh from the local butcher
Massive clear plastic bag with the little bit of red tape - like the bags you get from the fair with a goldfish in
Chunks of pork that were like innersoles, real jawshakers - echoed round the pub....thick and crunchy, hairs on them, still with the ink branding - LISH! -

My local (when I'm at parents) does these ^ only 50p a bag too :D

Recommendations on brand? I'm a sucker for them but can literally feel my heart scrunching up after I eat a bag of shit ones in a pub.

They are a calorie laden, artery furring, belt loosening, hypertension-inducing snack.

Just about over my cold now and I'm already heading to the corner shop. Bottle of that Guinness Special Export stuff and a pack of the above. -

Just made plum Tarte Tatin. Served by slicing in half, then devouring with cream.
