I don't know all the deets, but I think there was a vote whether they should, and it came out on the side of 'its a music contest not a political contest', which is hilarious when your think of Eurovision over the years.

Anyhoo, I wonder if it'll be live still, or with a few mins delay given everything that's happened over the last week.

Not sure this has been covered in the conspiracy thread, but the fact that Moroccanoil (eurovision's main sponsor) is an Israelian company, would that have anyting to do with Israel not being banned..?

I would say unlikely, (as I understand it) it was a vote with the Eurovision reference board which contains elected members, including someone from the BBC.

Eurovision is so incredibly massive that replacing a headline sponsor would be far easier than any political based allegiance.
