  • Its a bit wrong, but I freaking love that song!

I think Balki should wear one when hes 'commando' too. ding ding, danger danger ladies......

  • Dont forget to zip up Balki, dont want to cause a scene.

    Or do you...

  • I run 97 gear inches brakeless on my LoPro.

  • -Pop- go knees.

  • Sam doman^^

  • :/

It got a bit scratchy on the aggots so I popped down to Next and bought some assorted jockey shorts, size large. New jocks FTW!

  • This thread is about Balki's jocks now.

It speaks volumes, that this is an improvement ;)

  • They are great!

I've got a pair like that, but they have a basketball ring/backboard printed on them. The net is positioned right where the bob-hole is, so it looks like you put your hand in the basket to retrieve your doodle. I wear them when I am out on the pull... which is EVERY FUCKING DAY!

For high Cadence & Tricks like Skids on wet and Dry conditions
46x19 is great. Like high spinning great cardio
46x17 once you have mastered all the skidding styles for a higher top speed and less spinout downhills

Use a gear ratio calculator to find your equivalent cog that will give you the same if this is the style riding you are after.
46x19=2.42 gear ratio and about 63.7 gear inches. Easy to learn on.

Its harder to skid when the road is dry. Learn how to skid in all conditions and also become ambidextrous if possible. Once you are comfortable ride brakeless.

46x19 is a 2.42 gear ratio and is 63.7 gear inches. So just find whatever gear ratio calculator on the internet or your iPhone or Android or whatever and calculate based on your chainring and cog. Enjoy.

The Cog at the back change makes a huge difference in your gearing. Quick affordable and as I posted before.

But i love 46x19 for commuting quick acceleration and can handle all london hills pretty much so far. Spinning also enables me to focus on perfect revolutions so when I do drop down to a 17 or 15 I can get the most out of each turn. But if you are riding brakeless or planning to its a good starter gear as you will be ble to skid more easily and your life depend son those fish tail skids on wet and dry conditions quickly in and out of traffic. Less leaning forward skids. Just lock and whip either side comfortably plus it teaches better control and form. Hope that helps someone out there cause I was amazed at how different the info is out there when learning. Oh and use a gear ratio calculator. So no matter what size your chain ring is you can calculate easily what the equivalent cog is you need to buy to get the same experience as a 46x19 if thats your thing. Ta. Keep Pedalling!!!

FixedStar is clearly a seasoned skidder.

    Don't fuckabout!

Thank god there are still 12 year olds who can come on LFGSS for a week and tell us all the things we've failed to pick up in decades of riding fixed.

I thought I had lost that picture of me on my commuter. Thanks sausagefingers.

  • I don't know about that 46/19 business, I prefer 46/19.5 myself.

  • so that is what a half link chain is for

  • Depending on the size of hills you are riding wil effect the ratio. As a rough guide I use around 61 or 58 will which should get you up a lot of the hills in the Lake District. 44 x 20 , 44 x 18. These are the ratios I used to tour in and around the Lake District in what passed for our summer!

  • I am saved! now it is possible to ride a bicycle in the Lake District! praise be!

  • Ed you have become very sarcastic recently
