  • ..ha, nice analogy.

    How about 10K ?
Here's some wicked shit.. shot with a Phase One IQ 180 - https://vimeo.com/119343870

  • Is there any interest in any of this old camera stuff? It's probably scrap but my dad discovered it as part of his house moving clearance.
Soligar f2.8 lens, screw mount (can't remember the focal length)
    Rollei flashgun
    Nikon motor drive
Also a niton fm/fe?, but it looks in pretty poor nick.

  • RB67 XP2 Super

  • some very well composed images there. were you climbing/bouldering as you took the first picture?

  • That first shot is so good. More info plz?

  • I dunno what info to give? It's at Hepburn in Northumberland. The route is literally called photo opportunity arete, which suggests that the location is the main factor here. Amusingly enough I'm not a massive fan as you can't see enough of the face and the movement isn't conveyed enough, but oh well.
The last photo however I was over the moon with, was just messing around in a mate's furniture shop and it came out looking studio as fuck, lol.

  • got a couple of camera bodies+lenses for sale.

  • Keep em coming man, love your stuff.

Your mate is lit up really nicely in the last one

  • He was lot with an old stoplight, came out better than expected!

  • Yea there's a lot of old Stoplights were I live, too..

  • Got given a bag of of early 2000s film goodies today.

    A canon eos 300v

    28-105mm lens

    5 rolls of slide film

    Kodak e100sw x2

    Kodak EPT 160T

    Kodak EPN 100

    Fuji RTPii

Can't wait to try it all out, the cam is amazingly small, will be awesome fun with the 40mm pancake I have.

  • Got loads of rolls back from asda, quite happy with a lot of the images but have to rescan nearly all of them.

  • CT Precisa / Yashica T3

No idea what film, what camera or even what city this was taken in.

Random stuff that made me smile.

  • Would people recommend the Pentax ME Super, or the Canon AV-1 as a first film SLR (or any other SLR)? Some really interesting pictures come out of this thread. Thanks all.

  • Both equally good choices in my opinion.
See which one "feels" better. Pentax is smaller and more "dense", both body and lenses.

  • not sure if srs... but that's where the new overground line crosses Brick Lane.
I enjoy the just-touching angles of the roofline and viaduct, deliberate or chance?

  • 2nd one (green columns): love the map thing pulling it all together - the yellow band on top like the building, the splash of lime green like the furthest right column, the vertical stripe (like the columns, obvs), and the grey plinth band that lines up with the grey bands on the columns. cos the pavement's so pale, and it looks like it 'belongs' with the columns, makes it look like it's just floating in space..

last one: nice pic of a building I've passed hundreds of times (mostly on the train). confused bloke makes the shot. made me smile too!

  • Ah so it is!

I don't spend much time past Beigel Bake so I really had forgotten. I wish I could say the angles were intentional but I can't really remember. I like how bold the orange is, I have a feeling it was shot with Ektar, I'll confirm when I rescan.

  • it's London Overground orange, isn't it?

  • Thanks, I actually remember taking the picture of the green pillars. It's not at all what I was going for but I'm pleased with it still. I was attempting to line up the yellows in the backgrounds (Map, building and truck) while leaving the foreground underexposed as it was really dark but somehow through the magic of dynamic range it all came out pretty much exposed right.

I probably should have put a bit more of a description on the confused guy shot:

He's actually on here and was very confused when I took that picture, he hit his head on a speedbump (coincidentally on the ride where I took that picture with the red bridge above) and was in a bit of a daze for a few weeks so we checked in with him and stuff to make sure he was doing ok. Some pretty good times and things like this sort of keep me confident to just shoot and get rolls processed late. Gives me a chance to relive those quirky moments.

  • Well it's superia 400 and there's no way the orange shown is what was captured so I played about in lightroom and got it as close to that mad orange as I felt happy doing.

I'm still not great at scanning and seem to get some sharpness trouble, guess the negs aren't sitting as flat as they could be.

  • I have a spare Patterson developing tank if anyone wants/needs/desires/craves one. It's the two spool edition. Barely used. It'll come with the two spindles. Anyone want it ? Happy to trade for a beer or two...Sierra Nevada IPA preferably :)
