  • still not sure on cinestill, it's ok but not 'daaamn'

  • Nice shot, 1+ on Cinestill too. For the money, it's not blowing my mind really.

not sure which one you're talking about.
depending on how it was scanned / (auto-) corrected and edited, the picture you posted could have been shot with either.

I'll admit I'm a fan so far, even if I have not shot that many frames I'm proud of with either.
What I've learned so far is you definately have to shoot it in the "right" light, and have to scan yourself / avoid auto correction (as with all tungsten / xpro, basically).
The film shines with the way it makes stuff "glowing"; you'll see / seize this best if sources of light / bright parts of the image are in focus.

@nefarious - I'm feeling strangely drawn to your brick wall.
@tina.kino - such a consistently good eye you have... loving the colours on that one up there.

  • 'depending on how it was scanned / (auto-) corrected and edited'

shot with leica m6 and 35 summicron, scanned 16 bit on an imacon flex tight and then colour corrected using ColorPerfect.
I've had better mileage with portra 400 pushed a stop but haven't given up on this yet

  • ...ok - so is this shot on Cine Still 800T or 50D ?
It's way too yellow for the former if adjusted like it should be, and doesn't look like the latter either.
    Just wondering..

  • Thanks for the nice words!

Would be interested in some of the smaller things, alas I'm not in the UK so it would not make sense, price wise, with the international shipping.
Just saw somebody yesterday with the same Zenith as the one you're selling (also that oldskool cardboard box is so nice..).

  • Leica M6, Agfa Vista Plus 200

  • very, very nice!

  • 800t. Granted not the best source of lighting to really make the film work. A mix of led and tungsten

  • Selling my, digital, Fuji-kit here if anyone's interested: http://www.lfgss.com/conversations/261628/

  • Pelluhue, Chile - Ilford Delta 100 - Pentax Asahi MX

  • Both really rice!

  • First time using medium format

  • Has anyone used a epson v500 scanner?

  • I think some people did, yes.

  • I just bought the 550 and scanned that photo up there. I used to have the v370 and it's a great improvement from that.

  • Pentax Espio MINI / Agfa Vista 200

  • @seafish I have a v500 if you have any questions?
