  • Photographymongers - my dad has asked for a new sturdy tripod for Christmas/birthday, can go up to £130ish. He currently has a shit aluminium one that has fallen to bits. Any recommendations?

  • "NIGHT IS ON MY MIND is an exploration of the places and the mental states of graffiti writers in London. The exhibition is an immersive glimpse into both the hidden and controversial world of graffiti and the emotional landscape experienced by those who choose to go out at night and break the law and their family and friends. The viewer is invited trackside, amongst the barbwire and brick."

Night On My Mind is my debut show with a fun collective of creatives. I will be showcasing a range of fiber based prints, all shot on 35mm and printed by myself in the darkroom. Would be good if anyone who is interested could come down. The private view is on the friday 21st of this month. More info on here -

  • I have seen stickers for this literally everywhere and wondered what it was for

  • Just had a repair bill for the Hexar I bought off here... £80... argh... hopefully it's coming back to me in PERFECT condition this time. I miss it already.

  • How much?

  • Well they're going for about 200 plus shipping and tax from Japan. I paid similar.

    Perhaps £175 forum price?

You're welcome to shoot a roll if you want to see how the shots look.

  • Sort of 'inherited' an Asahi Pentax Spotomatic F, complete newcomer to non-phone photography and looking for a little help as to what everything is etc. anyone got any advice/good places to look?

  • I'm in DESPERATE need of money.

Does anyone want a Ricoh GR1.
It's 2nd hand from Jammy. I've only put a roll or 2 thourhg it as I cant afford film atm.

I bought it for £250 so as close to that but willing to compromise.

  • Tell me that's for more than just a dirty shutter button?

  • After a few rolls the shutter release became a bit twitchy. When I half depressed the button it would focus but quite often not fire. After some research I found this can happen if the contacts within the button get a tiny tiny bit dirty.
Its now cleaned adn I think fixed, the button doesnt feel as responsive as my Minilux/GR1/T2 or any other camera I have ever used actually, but I think it's firing properly now. Will run a roll through soon. £80 quid repair bill though... argh...

  • I'm in the wrong business.

  • Ha, I would of paid someone from here to clean it but no one stepped up!

  • Old rolleicord and old portra

  • Canonette Giii and Cinestill.

This took a fair bit of colour correction - reading the cinestill website the film can't cope with direct tungsten / fluro lighting.

  • Whats the crack with this Cinestill lark then? Is it some Cine style film for 35mm cameras?

  • Movie style film for 35mm cameras. There are others here who can explain it better than I.

Looks better in print than on my cheap screen. However, a sizeable investment.

the batteries may need replacing. if you do a google on "batteries" and "spotmatic" you should find what to use.

    Nice camera.

  • No recommendations, but Calumet are having a sale / clearance. Might be useful. Or go into a decent camera shop and ask their advice - shop assistants LOVE talking about tripods - makes a change from trying to explain why pixel count is no guarentee of quality. I don't know where you live, but I'm sure people will be able to recommend a shop nearby.

  • Damn. Sold out! I could really do with some 50 speed film too! Anyone have any to sell? Colour neg?

  • Damn. Sold out!

..those 5-roll-"pro packs" you could order are sold out, the 50 speed film will be officially available in stores this month.
    Estimated ship date: November 15th

  • @tina.kino you wonderful source of knowledge, what stores? I need some asap!

  • Just found a shop and pre ordered. Hopefully it'll arrive before the end of the year!

  • Oh, and sorry to spam, but come Monday I may well have a spare Minilux and GR1 if anyones interested at @£200 and £120 respectively (think the GR1 LCD is out hence low price).

Prob shouldn't keep them as they are duplicates, so drop a PM i interested...
