See if you can borrow something.
If you can plan what you want to shoot you can reel off a couple rolls pretty quickly.

Nikon 35ti/
superia 400poundland agfa/asda processing/no post
Untitled by 40 skid patches, on Flickredit: just checked the negs and noticed I got the film wrong.
This deserves to be on the new page. And I am going to Asda with my next film.

not realistic for me to buy anything, even medium format
...had a look the other day what Mamiya 645's are going for these days on eBay, they're basically paying you money if you take one.
The scanner I'd need to scan MF at home properly would cost a lot more..

Cheers :) I think the ply one in london that does it is in Hendon, about 10 miles up the a5 from Marble arch.

I'll have a look around as it would be nice to have a go with one.

Get medium format. Instant pro win!

First I need to buy a new lens for the MX because it's too hazy to use now unfortunately.
Anybody here used the 40mm f2.8 pancake before?
If I bought one I could literally just keep the camera in my jacket pocket all the time.
-
• #7261
Considering you already have a couple of compacts do you really need to? You could get a couple of better or more interesting lenses for the same money.
-
• #7262
Nah I don't need to, it's just a bit of a plus because I like the fact it's a small camera and I have a more modern canon SLR for serious stuff.
Any lenses you'd recommend though?

Did not use before, but will get to borrow this in a few days.
According to the feeback there it's not that great, but rather expensive because of the hype & small size.
Would rather bring an XA for example - maybe better quality, and smaller / lighter.
Even if the MX would fit in your pocket with the pancake I guess it would be rather inconvenient. -

What lens do you already have for the MX that is "too hazy" ?
-
• #7265
50mm 1.7 that has some haze and fungus inside it.
-
• #7266
you fucking hipster indra ; haze and fungus ... thats what all the hoxton square photographers are using for their instagram photos these days
black and white shots above done on ilford 35mm film

I bet the lens is sound and it's just the great british weather making the pics "hazy"
: P
Dunno, just get a clean 50 / 1.7 if budget is rather tight right now, it's super value for the money.
I love mine; best manual 50mm I've owned, next to / better than the Canon FDn.Check out that Pentax forums' lens reviews, could be helpful.

Olympus Mju-II / Fuji C200
So I did tape the whole thing on the back this time, not just the film window, though seals are looking as they should - *still *light leaks.
So they must come from the front of the camera, still trying to figure out how / where ..and why..
Did never really drop the camera, only thing I remember is one time I closed the camera, tried to slide-shut it I mean,
while the lens was not fully inside yet (it was like -8°C, and it operated slower as usual). Not forcefully though.Anyways, bummer..
Oh by the way - can anybody on here translate that please?

That's proper lovely, dicki. Me gusta.
Unfortunately I'm already lusting but it's not realistic for me to buy anything, even medium format right now.
I do really want to try 8x10 and make a really massive print though.
