oh cool, a finishing press for mounting?
I assume so. Most dry mount presses had a screw--- in contrast to the Seal presses. Ademco were quite popular. I think everyone has gone over the Seal presses since they are great for flattening prints. Gone are the ferrotype roller machines.

are those colour enlargers I see? and an RA4 machine?
They are clearly colour enlargers. Notice the RGB filter settings on the head. Hard to tell but they look like DeVeres-- a good British maker quite en par with Durst. I see also RRB Beard 2 blade easels--- also good British kit. Have not looked close enough but I'd be quite surprized if there was not a Ilford 500 head somewhere--- nice system for multigrade B&W. There is anyway no problem handling variocontrast papers with a colour head.
RA-4 roller processing.. Kind of out of fashion as they need a lot of chemicals and so one needs a lot of paper to make it worth firing up. The current fashion is to use Nova vertical slot processors.. -

A shot on the ol' Nikon FE2 from Carter's Steam Fair in Clissold Park last month. Due to a shoot overrunning, I only made it for the last 30 mins or so, which is a shame as there are good snaps to be had... -

I like the HSBC photo; I think that has commercial application.
The panning photo of the train is my favourite. Was that on a tripod? Its excellent.
The stillness of the desolate train station is really good. And seeing La Defense in the signage makes me think of my kiddies, who live a short walk from there.

I appreciate that a lot. I've literally only had 4 rolls of film developed in my life. aha
The panning shot was taken handheld in shutter priority mode. I cant remember what the shutter speed was, but I didn't have much time to prepare for it, so I'm really pleased with how it came out.
La Defense is a really nice place. It's a bit of a trek from the centre though.
Thanks again! -

Finally got my first ever rolls of film back! God, the anticipation was nearly killing me, but I'm actually quite suprised by the results.
No great photography, but pretty much every picture is fairly well exposed, which I'm amazed by given that I don't have a light meter so was trying to use the sunny 16 rule as a guide. I had new HP5 which all came out decent and some Ektachrome 160 which expired in 1985 which was more dramatically degraded/screwy than I was expecting...like hipstagram turned up to a million, but a few pics are usable.
Couple of embarrassing shots where I'd forgotten to advance the film and ended up with double exposures, but a couple came out in a way that I actually quite like.
Prepare for incoming spam...

I'm amazed by how much this looks like a pencil drawing. No post at all, just a crop of the scan (done by a guy in Latvia offering cheap development/scanning on ebay).

some of those are amazing! particularly like the colours in them.
obligatory what camera/film question? -
• #6244
Thanks, although any positive outcomes at this point I'm putting down to pure fluke.
Using a Mamiya RB67 with the 90mm. B&W is Ilford HP5 400 and the colour is Kodak Ektachrome 160 which expired in 1985 (bought a bunch cheap on eBay).

The Ektachrome stuff is very nice.

Beeing pretty satisfied with the XA I now also aquired an Epic, for auto focus desire.
Never had one in my hands before; it really is almost too small, haha!
First roll will be dev'd tomorrow, I'm curious.. -

Some great photos :)
They are awesome. They don't seem to produce the colours that GR1s do but they're just about the perfect compact and less prone to faults than Ricohs IME.
