  • Lovely muted colours,

    I like this.

Cool to put a face to the name too

  • Very lovely indeed. Reminds me, I'm on the prowl for a T2 and I have a GR1v to part-ex for it. Anyone game?

  • Some great shots! Love industrial landscapes - there's a few places that I'm dying to shoot myself.

I expected you to have longer hair for some reason - like a viking.

  • I like the blue tones in those, atmospheric.

  • -now with proper photos (hopefully)-

  • Like the horse one, and the closed down one.

  • The horse one is really cool indeed.

  • Mju II is dead (at least not responding).

Mate has a t4 for 60 (might be able to hustle it to 50) - worth it?

  • Ermmmm, if you don't want it can I take it for £50?? :) I love my T5. Wouldn't think twice about snatching that up.

    RIP your Mju II.

  • yeah isn't £50 a bargain for a t4?
i'm sure they used to go for double that on ebay a while ago, possibly due to the terry richardson connotation (or maybe i'm thinking of the t5...)

  • fuuu, was out last night and must have got some condensation on the rear element. Whole roll fucked

  • Finally some new stuff up. Got the first rolls back shot with the Contax T2. Really enjoy shooting with it, and the results are good too. First time I've used Kodak Portra 400 as well, like it so far.

    Much more here: http://do.kallelind.com/

Portra (especially NC if you can get any) freaking loves industry, its purple & green hues and filthy murkey mid tones make stuff like that jump out. Tried to emulate it with LR so many times but just cannot match it. People who aren't used to portra will notice its overly large grain size, poor handling of UV / lights etc, but I love the stuff, have a fridge full of it in 35 & 120

  • ^ doesn't portra 400 have the finest grain there is?

  • Portra 160 is silly sharp!

  • New wonder developer for black and white apparently. Be surprised but still might be worth a play

Spursinn HCD 2+S is a unique and special 2 part developer and allows for massive flexibility in your chosen black and white film's exposure speed.

Incredible results are obtained when exposing films at a huge range of different exposure ISO - it is possible to select your ISO based on conditions and develop accordingly, but to a much wider range than with other developers. Films such as Ilford HP5 or Kodak Tri-X offer massive potential and good results are obtained when exposing at any speed from 25-25600 ASA - there are even times supplied (tested by the manufacturer) for exposing Tri-X at ISO 51200!

HCD is supplied in two parts and with a comprehensive booklet explaining how to use the developer and with development times for virtually every black and white film on the market! Expected grain levels categorised for easy reference.

  • ^^^ awesome pics!

Has anyone used Ilford Pan F 50? How much can you push and what do you get when you push like 5 stops? I loved how sharp and contrasty it is (judging from flickr).

Also, if I am constantly pushing film by 1 or 2 stops which is a good film developer to use? Ilford DDX?

  • Pushing anything five stops will be pretty horrific, especially a contrasty slow film like pan f. Try Tri-X or HP5 if you want to push a lot.

^Try that developer too and report back

  • ^ doesn't portra 400 have the finest grain there is?

i believe ektar 100 is the negative film with the finest grain.

  • ok quick one I have gathered everything I need to develop B&W film tonight except for a measuring jar, something like this but longer and can take a liter;

Where can I buy one tonight before I go from from W1 to SW18 ?
    Sainsbury's?

  • any waitrose / larger sainsborgs / tescos?

  • ok there is a large sainsbury near my place as well as waitrose, will check

  • Colour shift but I'm not really bothered by it

  • That's nice. What was it, bleak gray?
