  • Vinylvillan - interested in eos30 body and any canon lenses he wants to get rods of :)
Also om2 and oly lenses if they are still going

  • One from my archives...'Blad 500CM with Ektar 100 most likely.

  • That's a class photo.

  • Proper old school. Amazing

  • nearly £400 for that camera? jesus..

it's a limited edition, not much point in referring to the price of something that there are only 1000 pieces of and they're sold out.

better to judge on the regular stock version, at £250 still rather pricey for what it is. a better lens adds £30.

I'm not sold on the Lomokino - there are nice aspects to it, but it seems like just another Lomo invention - poor quality as a feature. hey look! crappy images, how cute. it's the lomo brand.

lomo LC-A still one of my all-time favourite cameras, but I'm not down with this "we brought out a new version of your favourite camera - y'know that vignetting and colour saturation you like? we thought we'd really go to town with it and make everything look really kooky and colourful, so you don't have to pay for cross-processing. we made the lens a bit worse, so you get that old-school blur... oh yeah - we added light leaks just for fun. we know how much you love those!"

  • boy I'm tetchy tonight.

  • boy I'm tetchy tonight.

I feel exactly the same way about Lomo tbh. It also really annoys me as so many of my friends who shoot digital, go straight to Lomo for their first film camera - set on getting that light damaged, blurry, cross-processed, "vintage", film look to their photos. As if to say, "if I'm going to shoot on film, I want it to be bleedingly obvious". Rather than just picking up a film camera that works and shooting on it properly.

  • Bailing off El Cap in a storm, slide film of some sort, Olympus XA

  • +1

  • ^ and ^^ - bloody hell! amazing.

  • Wasn't all doom and gloom (although, mainly doom and gloom).

Fuck me! Mate, I agree, those are absolutely amazing.

  • there's no denying that the whole lomography thing is a con though....

I tend to agree; but my view is that if people navigate into film photography from digital, for the first time, then an expensive avenue is as good (to me) as the cheap avenue. A knowledgeable photographer would find a Diana camera at some carboot sale, and get the same effect for just a couple of pounds.

I like the Lomo look, but wouldn't invest in it. I prefer normal cameras with normal prime lenses. But the more the merrier I say.

  • as always, if you know what you're doing you can do it a lot cheaper, but if you got the money you can do it a lot easier.

  • Anyone after an XA2, Olmypus MJU 2 (the good version) or a voigtlander folder 6x9, perfect condition?

I've also got a load of 120 and 35mm film for sale if anyone's interested?

  • Need to get back in the habit of taking photos. Haven't had a film developed for months.

  • Maybe the XA2, how much?

  • I've got the box so It's in good condition. Can sell it with the flash and a case for say £20?

  • Sorry should have said, can you post? I'm up north. Don't worry if you're too busy

I'll take it if you can though

  • Yeah I can post no problem. Was going to say I'll have to post it anyway! Send me a PM.

  • How reliable is the voigtlander? Is it difficult to use?

  • Bloody reliable. I can sell it with a light meter too if you need one? You fold it out, set the shutter and aperture (as per the light meter) click the shutter and wind the film on.

Because It's a folder you can fold it up quite flat, it'll take up less space than a digital camera.

    Edit --

Forgot to mention it'll come with a nice leather case and some 120 film.

  • Have you got any shots from it/how much?

  • I've only put 1 roll of film through it, about a year ago.

Wouldn't want much to be honest, say 40?

    Edit-

More information about it here http://www.photoethnography.com/ClassicCameras/VoigtlanderBessa.html
