Hah! Never crossed my mind.
Have you used them? I'll drop them a line next week

I haven't used them, but hundreds have, with great results. MrCad also do repairs, so maybe shop around. Sendean though have a matchless reputation.

Is it acceptable to put camera stuff for sale in here or main classifieds?
Got a small mountain of stuff I need to get shot of (about 20 cameras, mostly 35mm slr's, but a few fun things, olympus trips & loads of XA's etc).
Won't be asking fleabay prices but would expect people to pay sharpish, as reason for sale is needing the monies sharpish! -

won't be buying (I say that now) but yeah, do it. maybe in Classifieds then post a summary+link here?

kind of glad I had a clear out of accumulated gear, didn't realise I had anywhere near as much as I do. But apart from the obvious cash that could be released from it, its a bit daft for me to keep most of it as I have just bits of pentax/canon/nikon/olym/prak/m42 systems, much more sensible to get rid of most and then just stick to what I have most of (canon EF/EFS) and what I need/ enjoy.
I have more darkroom gear than I know what to do with as well, if the post on the previous page is anything to go by I am going to be a millionaire! Have about 20 film dev tanks, and dozens of every thing else, @ £75 per 'set' I would have enough from that stuff alone. Have a stack of paper about 4ft high. But personally most of dev stuff it was given to me by friends/ family/ freecycle so would feel bad, also postage would kill it.

It's scary how quickly we can accumulate gear. The last time we moved house I was gob smacked at what I had.

A guy I work with has just set up a site for photography in and around London, a way to share stuff but also to learn from each other and raise the game.
I had been asked whether I would set up a photography forum on LFGSS (by forumengers), but I hesitated on this as aside from Misc & Meaningless there's nothing on LFGSS that is currently an off-topic forum. But I totally see the need for something more than the 3 big photography threads on here, so when Matt was telling me he was looking for locations and popping out camera in hand one lunchtime, I basically suggested he start a forum for it and try and do for photography in London a bit of what I've done for the cyclists in London... give you all a dedicated place to go that is yours.
That place is called pixelcharter, and it's here: http://www.pixelcharter.com/
He's literally only just launched it this morning, so needs people to help kick start it.
In the future, both LFGSS and pixelcharter are going to be put on far better hosted software... Matt is actually the other main dev aside from myself working on the new codebase for LFGSS (which, btw, is coming along nicely, but I could never have guessed how much work there really was - we're behind schedule, but making good progress having spent the summer researching various things).
So the rise of pixelcharter will help LFGSS too, and when the new software appears it will be possible to use the same login account there and here, and yet to have different profiles there and here... it's pretty neat.
Anyhow, if you can break out of the LFGSS bubble, go take a look at the blank slate that is pixelcharter and know that as early members you'd get a chance to shape a wider photography community in London.

It looks interesting. Have joined, mainly to keep the same username, but I may one day take a good enough photo to post it.

London photographers/photography only?

London photographers/photography only?
Not really, but a lot of the benefit is in sharing locations, perhaps meeting to share work, stuff like that.
So you'd be able to take part obv', but less so for the stuff that involves doing stuff in and around London.

I'm selling a few cameras, thought maybe it would be of interest. Especially the Mamiya C330 if you're looking to get into medium format. -
