  • Anyone here got a medium format neg scanner I can use/borrow? Got my first roll of film from my new camera to develop, just want some basic scans so I can look at them on the computer (any prints I get will be from the neg).

  • I developed the found film from the 50's today...

    Amazing stuff.

Falling out of love with my XA2. Shutter metering is too temperamental and is messing up shots. XA was so much better.
Think i'm going to use my mamiya c3 exclusively until then end of the year.

  • Falling out of love with my XA2.

Can I have it back then? :(

  • I've got a Crumpler "Ben's Pizza XXL" bag for sale, been used about 5 times so pretty much perfect nic. The current equilavent is £40 (the cupcake), so yours for £15.

    Looks like this:

    But blue piping.

  • XA + Double-X

  • ^ quality shots. fantastic contrast and texture, even on the presumably low-light fox shot.

    I just a couple of rolls back from the Trip35, and it's a bit light-leak-tastic :(

anyone got some spare seals they want to sell me before I order some from the bay?

  • been ages since I got anything developed, been feeling dismal about the leakiness of my Trip35, and getting frustrated about using film for work - looking at cheap digital compacts just for convenience... got a couple of rolls dev and straight to CD this morning at Jessops for speed and -

    • this is why the commute is awesome :)

Nice shot. Great when things just come together for that brief moment in time.

  • Shot in Germany before the start of the Vattenfall Classics, using the trust Mamiya 7 with acros 120 from Japan

  • Very nice hoefla I'm really liking that.

All in very good condition. Patterson tanks and reels (the reels on their own are £13 each), jugs, thermometer, safe light. Would cost about £200 new, asking £75 before I sell elsewhere.

Also have these 10x8 and 12x16 dishes, pretty clean, the white ones are a little stained. Free if you buy the other stuff, £15 on their own.

Pick up in N16 preferred, cash only.

  • ^ I don't know anything about developing film, would this be all I'd need to get started?

  • Minus the chemicals and a couple of buckets yes.

  • and a dust free drying cabinet

  • Doesn't using photo flo help out with that though?

  • just hang them up in the bathroom after running the shower (hot) for a couple of minutes.
The moisture in the air from the shower helps remove the dust from the air.

You'd need a changing bag to load the films on to the reels; at least you will unless you want to use a darkroom every time.
I never used a 'dust-free cabinet' and I doubt very few other people do and I have never had a problem with dusty negatives.
You might also want a squeegee to take off excess water before you hang them up.
With the two reels and all the jugs there you can develop 6 films at once, if you start the second batch a few minutes after the first, so processing lots of films takes far less time.

  • cool, cheers!

gonna check with a few mates if they wanna go halves. I'll get back to you asap, but don't hold it for me in case someone else is keen

  • This thread has inspired me to get my mother's OM 1 off the shelf.
