Purple normally means not fixing enough.

Thanks.
I didn’t realise tmax needs more fixing than most. The negs scanned fine but lesson learnt.
I will make a pre wash part of the routine too, it does no harm.

A few from Toulon last summer. Didn’t noticed the exposure comp was on +2 for the boat ones but they survived

Gold 200

It was overcast but really bright that day, so much so I was worried the exposure comp mistake would be fatal but it was fine in the end

Middle one is top tier.

I think the exposure compensation worked in your favour then, otherwise if everything is bright auto expose tends to underexpose.

While we’re on the subject of overexposed boats… one from a Cornish lay-by last autumn

I just bought a film scanner so should be able to post in here more frequently (digitsing my film photography previously meant making an enlargement and scanning it).
I was playing around with a camera which it turned out had a wild idea of how to wind film on for a few of these.

Some nice shots, I particularly like the last one with the cars and the second one from your first post with the reflective building 👍

My partner found a bag of cameras and lenses that belonged to her grandad, I know nothing about cameras. Is any of this worth anything and if so what's the best way to go about shifting it besides eBay?

Sorry to say but this all looks very battered / dirty, you can easily tell the gear hasn't been looked after very well, and there's tons of this stuff (in way better condition) on eBay etc. so I seriously wouldn't get my hopes up.
That wide angle Pentax lens (the one that says 28mm / 2.8) is probably the best item of the whole bunch.
The camera bodies are not bad either (especially the LX one) but, as mentioned, condition is really rough. -

Thanks, yeah it's all pretty rough. It was all pulled from a bag in an attic that hadn't seen the light of day in 15+ years. Might dust everything off and just stick it as a job lot on eBay with no reserve.

and, would anyone be interested in a Zeiss Ikonta folder? It's one of the last models they made I believe. 6x6 on 120, 75mm Tessar lens, uncoupled rangefinder which is still in alignment.
No light leaks in the bellows, all shutter speeds work fine, the lens is very sharp and seems to be pretty immune to flare even in direct sunlight. The only downside is that the paintwork is tatty; this doesn't affect the usage of the camera. The reason I'm selling is that I'm shit at composing for 6x6!
It's on ebay at the moment, but I'll do it significantly cheaper here—£100 PPG plus postage (around a fiver). See below for a sample image.
