  • I’ll take a look at those, thanks.

She does have decent digital kit (Sony a7 and access to a shit ton of ££ lenses through her work) and I’m pretty sure we have a tripod that you can flip the central post on and use as a sort of rostrum(?). A small light box will presumably be a fairly cheap outlay

  • You're welcome!

Google a bit regarding the scanning with camera, maybe @mi7rennie likes to share some of his findings as well.
Of course this route is a bit of a faff (but so is working with a dedicated negative scanner, just a different kind of faff : )

If you do get a negative scanner try to get one that is bundled with Silverfast - and double-check that both the software and the scanner itself if compatible with whatever operating system you're running.

    Godspeed!

  • Got two rolls back from development today, both blank. Think my T2 was all fucked up that shot them!

  • I really like this set!

  • Random from last week/bank holiday weekend! Pentax Espio Mini + Fuji C200 expired in 2012

  • corvette pic is a belter because you assume the driver lives in the house behind it; it's a perfect blend and gives the whole story.

Whoever that is, is a total winner. I'm also currently watching 3rd series Fargo.

  • There also must have been some of this going on

  • ..haha, I guess the image is somewhat misleading; there's actually a gate to the right, the red bricks don't continue for long - it's a repair / import-export shop for american cars here in Berlin.

  • you've gone and ruined it for me. The lanterns said home.

  • If it's any help I do think it's the owners' car, and I think he probably does live in that shed!

By the way that Fargo shot is awesome as well.
Haven't watched the third season yet though, sorta lost interest in the second one frankly.

  • Fuji C200 expired in 2012

Gotta say that looks pretty fresh for film produced 10 years ago! Did you shoot that at box speed?

  • Is not too bad, got a bunch of expired film on eBay that was kept in good conditions by the looks of it! DX coded camera so yeah, box speed.

  • You know you can "hack" the ISO codes, right?

As in scratching off parts of the code and / or adding little pieces of tape in the right places -

Making the camera handle a roll of 200 ISO like a 100 is just a matter of adding a little piece in the top row, second square to the left.
This was kinda my default, as most colour film benefits from shooting it above box speed..

This image (from shootitwithfilm.com) makes it all more clear (you can basically disregard the bottom row, just be clear which is "top" - the one by the barcode) 👍

  • Totally aware. Never had to use it. If I want to shoot something at different speed I simply choose a camera I can set the iso myself or in built exposure compensation. Otherwise most point and shots default to iso 100 which it's fine by me. Thank you for the information tho, maybe one day I will try it.

  • You're welcome!

  • Some cracking photos as always.

  • I'm also currently watching 3rd series Fargo.

You know what I did go ahead and watch that as well.
    Boy, it's really fucking grim!
    😦

  • Has anyone got a good link for Kodak Porta 400 (35mm)...?

All our usual sources are either out of stock or way way way inflated.

  • Question for the hive mind, will a Leica CL scratch my Leica itch? Or should I just sell up everything to get an M body?

  • No, its a shit camera. Get a minolta CLE instead.
