  • Naples shots are brilliant

  • Love the ploughed field shots

  • Ooof, these colours. What film did you shoot this on?

  • Thanks. Been getting the LF camera loaded up and ready to shoot some film this weekend :) From miniature to huge format

  • Is filmdev still shut? Ive got nearly 10 rolls of colour and bw in 120 and 35mm. Is anywhere near to the price of medium filmdev scans? I dont mind sending bw to one place and colour to another

  • they sent my scans back saying 'dont send anymore'

  • Sad.

Wonder why...surely people are shooting less than normal? Or is this him slowly shutting down

  • they sent my scans back saying 'dont send anymore'

    bit harsh, isn't it

  • Ricoh R1 + Expired Lloyds 200

    From the website:
"Filmdev are a small mail order family run business. Please note due to the severe reduction in capacity during the coronavirus (COVID–19) pandemic and the large backlog of orders we have at present we are no longer accepting any new orders until further notice. We are sorry for any inconvenience and we hope to be back to full capacity as soon as possible. We would like to thank all our customers for your continued support during this difficult time and that you all stay safe.

  • Great little series there.

  • Telling people to not send any rolls with no time frame seems more serious. Hope theyre all ok. Davids customer service has always been excellent, fixes any problems over the phone no questions asked

  • Aye, impossible to say. But I guess they just want to be clear to people that they’re not operating at the moment. Some people might not check the website every time they send stuff out.

  • Their scans have been excellent recently too, with the large TIFF scans in particular have been great.

Hope they’re ok and can restart again.

  • Yeah thats mad they aren't talking anymore still. I was hoping they would be up to date sooner.

  • Just had my OM4 serviced. They said it needed a lot of work, cost me just shy of £200.

As far as I can tell, the service has been good, but the split prism focusing looks a bit grubby, there’s noticeably quite a bit of dust in there. Is this normal for a camera that has been serviced? I’ve taken a photo through the viewfinder but my phone camera goes a bit weird (hence it looking so dim).

    What do you guys think?

  • Not really.

They’re supposed to be handled with tweezers (not fingers). In fact I think they come with a little box and special tweezers IIRC.

I think you can quite safely lift out the screen without any dismantling.

    Maybe wipe or dust it?

  • A couple of blue hour bits

  • All colour ones shot on Portra 400 !

  • The colours are fantastic on that 3rd one

  • 3rd image is great!
