Really strong page. Love the Fiat 500 collection @Josh
I bought a Zeiss Ikon Nettar which arrived today. Shot some Portra 400 with it, excited to see the results. The process so far of familiarising, loading and shooting with it has been great so hopefully everything is functional with it and the snaps work out.
Big up @Ste_S for the advice. I wanted the 75mm F4.5 Novar and I thought I was bidding on 515/16 with that but I was sent a different camera to the description (older w/ 75mm F6.3 Anastigmat) but was curious and wanted to shoot with it. Will suss it early next week when I've seen negs.

Cheers. I have s bunch of expired film for sale. Pissed me off that I shot I thought would be amazing it's been fucked by the amount of grain, then again the film was 20 years old.
7 films as below for £20 I'll make an add soon as I have a few other bits for sale

Hello. Never shot film before, but when i was dropping food shopping off at my partner's parents, her dad let me borrow his old film cameras that were doing nothing in the loft...
One of them, a Zenit-ES (Sniper?) looks like I'll get arrested if I use it outside, it has a stock that screws on too for shoulder support. The Zenit B looks more user friendly.
Can't wait to give them a try. Any tips for new people to film?

Hope your Nettar works out OK. I bought one with the 75mm f4.5 Novar to use up my stock of film after I (stupidly) sold my Mamiya 7. Liked it so much I’ve just kept on buying film for it. I have a pdf of the instruction manual somewhere if you’re interested.

Digbeth in Brum. You’re Brum based aren’t you? Photo walk and beers at some point (Covid-19 permitting obvs) ?

I’ve got a spare one with the 75 4.5 if you want it? The folding catch is a bit ‘loose’ and there was some fungus in the lens which I’ve had a go at cleaning up. Seems to work ok though.

The shutter can be a bit slow on Zenits, check to make sure it covers the film plane after firing. Otherwise err on the side of over exposure, and a phone light meter app is fine.
Then shoot away!Who was the forumite who bought the job lot of Zenits of the bay?
